If I was to give this arrangement a name I think it would be ‘flamenco’ 💃💃 The amazing Vovos tulip is like the frilly skirt and the Solomon’s Seal and honeysuckle vine is like the curved arms….or maybe I’ve watched too much @bbcstrictly? I find it interesting how certain flowers have a “moment” on insta and this year it seems to be the turn of the Vovos tulip….move over Belle Epoque (although I have planted some of them too). It is so exquisite that if I cut it, it is going to have to be for the right arrangement so just one in the middle of this bowl was 👌🏻. It is not a very tall tulip as you can see from the last picture but what it lacks in stature, it makes up for in va va voom!! Definitely one to add to your list for planting ready for next Spring. And that’s a wrap on the Easter Hols! Would it have been as easy as these photos look if the sun just told the rain to buggar off? Absolutely!! But surely that’s it for the wet weather now, bring on that sunshine!! 1. Beach Selfie with my main girl - she loves a cheesy smile 🫶🏼 2. Holding Piggy’s hands because she refused to hold mine after just falling over and hitting her head on a stone! 3. A scooter ride to see the steam trains (not to go on them because… 💸💰🥺) 4. Letting the boys walk across the tracks because they kept getting too close to the edge and quite frankly were giving Laura a heart attack 🤪 5. A beach day with their friends - probably wasn’t quite warm enough for them all to be soaking wet for hours and having to go home in their pants but they had the best day! 6 & 7. Cecelia and Alfie on the low ropes at @riverdartcp 8. Our coast path walk took us past so many Highland Cows today - they are just so cute! Grayson and Cecelia LOVED them. 9. Very inspiring. The Amelanchier tree has been featured by lots of folk on the gram this week. So much so, I think I need to plant one….but Fiona’s image is by far my favourite. She has a beautiful account to follow. 2)this week I have become a friend of the @gardenmuseum. They have got so many brilliant exhibitions coming up including this British Flowers week exhibition which I can’t wait for. I will definitely be holding a floristry workshop in the garden to celebrate that week - watch this space! 3) @moonko____ Deborah has such a beautiful shop. I bet it smells amazing in there with all those dried flowers. Her creations all have a folk connection which really appeals to me. This year she also has a stand at Chelsea Flower show so I’m definitely going to be popping along to meet her in real life! Follow her Chelsea journey on here. 4) and finally @sean_anthony_pritchard book “Outside In” was released this week. I have followed him on Insta for ages and have always loved his images which are a glorious combination of vintage vibe interiors and flowers. The book celebrates all of that and more. This mornings post is a story about flowers and hair 💇🏼♀️ Firstly the flowers…..these beauties all went off to a dinner party last night. Hope they had a fun time! Which brings me on to the subject of hair….I currently do a double take when I see a photo of myself because I have been a blonde for a very long time so in my head….I am a blonde. But last year my hairdresser had to take a long break so I thought, what the heck, I will too. I can save some money and it will be interesting to see what colour my hair really is after all these years! It feels quite liberating and the blonde has almost all gone now and I’m actually quite dark brown / 🐁 but it feels good to have a change. It has also changed the colour of the clothes I wear as I’m wearing brighter colours. They kind of clashed with the blonde before. So there we go! Now I just have to wait for my natural highlights (grey) to come through. Bring it on I say…..
