Bradley spent the first 3 years of his life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. He transferred to HSU for his second chance after being seized by the USDA due to the conditions in which the dogs were being kept 🥺 This handsome GSP is currently in a foster home where he has been crate and house-trained. He really enjoys the other dog in the foster home, and may like a canine companion in his new home if given a slow and careful introduction. Bradley can be startled by new things and sometimes needs time to know he's safe when he meets someone new, but he really wants to trust people and is making great progress! 🐾 This sweet guy is learning how great life can be. He wags his tail when his foster parents say his name, greets them happily, and makes eye contact with them. Bradley loves to be petted when things are calm, run around the yard, and play with other dogs. He also enjoys treats; they help him feel more comfortable when facing a new situation. He's still unsure about getting into cars, but he seems to enjoy the ride 💜 This is where you come in! Patio furniture season is here! (Finally, I can enjoy the outdoors). 🌞 Hello, my friends! Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, and temperatures soared well into the 70s. I personally consider that to be downright sweltering, but Mom seems to think that such numbers are "absolutely ideal for existing," so we all spent quite a bit of time outside together. While I typically wouldn't be thrilled with such a development, thankfully, Mom made a point to make it bearable for me. Extra motivated by the fact that she could comfortably wear shorts for the first time this year, she decided to open up the garage door and haul out the rest of our patio furniture, all of which has been slumbering in dusty corners since September of last year. The moment she set up the yellow umbrella and enveloped our cushioned bench in shade, I happily hopped up and made myself comfortable. It was the perfect spot to watch her and Winnie play a game of fetch, which Mom was thrilled to see Winnie still remembers from last year! Personally, I have no interest in learning such a game. Why would I want to run around when there's a perfectly good place to sit? Yesterday, Mom and Dad took us over to Grandma's House to celebrate our Aunt Sam's belated birthday. Cousin Charlie, the adorable chocolatey fellow beside us, was there to celebrate, too! The humans ate pizza, brownies, and various other delicious food items that they claimed were "too unhealthy" to share with us -- but, oddly enough, weren't too unhealthy to scarf down themselves. (The hypocrisy is hard to ignore.) 🤔 Anyway, towards the end of the evening, Grandma was kind enough to babysit us for a few hours while Mom & Dad went to see a play. Not only did we do great without them (which Mom was undeniably surprised to hear), but Grandma and Aunt Sam managed to snap this picture of us hanging out with Charlie! The Flower King. 🌸 Happy Friday, my friends! I don't know about you, but I'm beyond ready for the weekend. I may not have a job or anything, but even just watching Mom and Dad work 40 hours a week is downright exhausting. Dreaming of peanut butter and belly rubs. 🩷 Hello, my friends, and happy Winnie Wednesday! Mom actually snapped this picture a while ago, back when there was still snow on the ground, and we still had our old brown couch against the window. Don't get me wrong, we love our new couch, but Mom definitely misses walking in the room to find Winnie snoozing here. She would often perch on the back cushions for property surveillance, and after particularly exciting shifts (usually involving pesky robins stealing our earthworms from the yard), she would close her eyes for a well-deserved nap. The new couch is just a tad too big to fit where this one was, so Mom & Dad put it against our green wall. It looks lovely, of course, but this new arrangement temporarily left nothing against the window. That said, knowing how much my sister enjoys yelling at the neighbors (and Amazon delivery people, local critters, and the occasional "highly suspicious" gust of wind), my parents went out and bought a cushioned bench to put where the old couch was. That way, we still have a comfortable spot to rest, and Winnie can continue with her regularly scheduled property surveillance. How to properly walk your couch potatoes. ❤️ Hello, my friends, and happy Tongue Out Tuesday! Now that it's *supposed* to be getting a little warmer outside, it's only a matter of time before the thermometer creeps above 60° and I start huffing and puffing on my walks. I'm not exactly what you'd consider a "warm weather" kind of guy. (Air conditioning is a beautiful thing). That said, Mom and Dad are prepared well in advance with a Couch-Potato-Mobile! With this handy dandy wagon, I don't have to lift a paw on walks if I don't want to. And trust me, I don't want to. 🫡 Winnie doesn't actually need the wagon, considering she actually seems to *enjoy* our walks and is always enthusiastically pulling ahead (weird), but like *heck* she was going to let me go for a ride without her. Windswept perfection. 🌬 Hope this week is a breeze! Greetings, my friends, and Happy Murray Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was rather chilly and windy and dare I say... wintery. At one point, I looked out the window and thought I saw white flower petals whipping through the air, but nope. Just snowflakes. (C'mon, spring. Really? We talked about this.) Honestly, though, the cold snap ended up being just fine with us. Mom needed some time to rest and recharge anyway, so the weather served as a perfectly acceptable reason to spend most of our time cuddled up indoors.
