💂TRIP TO LONDON💂 AD~ A few weeks ago we headed to London and had a brilliant time. We took advantage of the @topview.sightseeing 48hr discovery pass around London which gave us: 🚌Unlimited Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour 🚢Thames River Cruise (Single ride) 💂Royal Park & Palace Walking Tour 🎸Rock'n' Roll Soho Walking Tour 🚶‍♀️Jack the Ripper Walking Tour 🎤All tours are led by a live guide. It was such a brilliant way to see London and we learnt so much from the very knowledgeable tour guides 🚂 We got an @avantiwestcoast family ticket £85 return 🛏️ We stayed @thezhotels in the centre of Covent Garden in the family room for £160 per night

Spreading the love over the weekend in the form of delicious vegan food! ❤️🌱🌞 Sarah and her wonderfully supportive mum ate their way through Camden with me 😄 A favourite was definitely the soy based “fish” from @veganplanetcamden - something they had never tried before. We are also loving the new range of sandwiches from @neat.burger ❤️ Mum is a lover of cheese so I was happy she really enjoyed the vegan alternative in the Italian Pepper. We also had a little stop for gin tasting in our favourite micro distillery @halfhitchgin - The ladies bought one of their smaller bottles which is a perfect size for travelling! Il y a toujours des grosses foules pour observer le changement des gardes à Buckingham Palace. Il est donc difficile de se trouver une bonne vue. Dylan a eu l'idée de grimper sur le mur et m'a aidé à le monter peu de temps après, par contre la sûreté nous a éventuellement demandé de descendre. Je recommenderais aux autres d'éviter notre tactique et d'observer le changement des gardes à partir de l'arche de Wellington. In March this year I was informed by the Natural History Museum that this photograph has received a ‘Highly Commended’ recognition in The Wildlife Photographer Of The Year 2019 competition. I took the photo while co-leading as a photography guide on Trai Anfield’s Photo Safaris in Zimanga, South Africa. A media embargo on my photo’s publication was in force until the Awards event takes place in October. However it was selected for release to the general media as a preview to the competition results and was published in yesterday’s Sunday Times magazine as a double page spread. Receiving recognition at the biggest wildlife photography competition in the world from over 47,000 entries is by far the highlight of my photography career so far and I’m looking forward to the awards ceremony at the Natural History Museum next month where my photograph will be displayed until June 2020, as well as in 60 other exhibitions across 6 continents around the world. It has been a week full of art. Today I went to the Sargent and Fashion exhibition at Tate Britain where I was totally wowed by John Singer Sargent’s use of fashion to express identity and portraits in his portraits. His depictions of luxurious fabrics is akin to Anthony van Dyke’s masterful rendering some 250 years earlier. His portraiture takes inspiration from the best of Lely, Gainsborough and Reynolds. And some of the dresses in which he styled his sitters are on display in the exhibition including the green beetle wing dress worn by actress Ellen Terry in her role as Lady Macbeth in Shakespeare’s tragedy in 1889 (photo 6). Sargent and Fashion is at Tate Britain until 7th July. Go if you can!
