О чём «Марафет»? Эту серию я начала ещё в институте. Понемногу менялись взгляды, обстоятельства и степень моей осознанности в профессии, но интерес к теме только возрос. Человек в присутствии других и человек наедине с собой – это «две большие разницы». Наедине с собой каждый из нас всегда более настоящий и естественный, не нужно казаться «быстрее, выше, сильнее», чем есть на самом деле, не нужно беспокоиться о том, как ты выглядишь и что о тебе подумают. Даже если человек достаточно уверен в себе, глупо отрицать, что он всё равно проводит свои действия и слова через фильтр какой-то самоцензуры, находясь в обществе. И это касается всех людей. Но поскольку я женщина, мне интереснее было углубиться в эту тему с женской точки зрения. В целом, от общества на женщину накладываются гораздо более высокие требования к внешности. Почти каждая женщина находится в некотором напряжении по поводу своего внешнего вида и, часто, в той или иной степени, недовольна собой. И это недовольство сильно усугубляют современные стандарты красоты, в которые можно втиснуться только если вливать в это достаточно много времени, сил и средств. А учитывая, что все мы живые люди: работаем, решаем кучу разных непростых задач, кто-то имеет детей и так далее, – это вообще ни разу не просто. И как-то за всем этим мало кто обращает внимание на то, насколько на самом деле красива нормальная живая женщина. Насколько она интересна со всеми особенностями её фигуры и лица. В каждом сложении, росте, возрасте и внешности есть своя неповторимая индивидуальность, своя пластика, своя красота. These are a beautiful series of Monotypes currently on display by artist/printmaker Tony Martin @tony.martin.art Photographed in his studio. ‘Much of my work is made on paper, mainly drawings, prints and collage. I am fascinated by structure and the division of space with line, sometimes in response to music, poetry or architecture. Pieces often begin with certain self-imposed rules working in tandem with improvised opportunities: what seems like restriction gives way to the sheer pleasure of making an inky line, discovering a form, varying a composition or changing a sequence. They are no longer everything and anything, they become someone, they go somewhere. Nowhere, and behind whom. Follows the Mentor. He is a guide and leader. Where does he lead to? He does not know. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦? Read on if you’re serious to find your art style While I started my art journey, I struggled to have a unique art style of my own. It’s a little difficult at the start to have a signature art style of yours especially when you are a self-taught artist. But trust me, as you keep progressing in your art journey you’ll realise it isn’t that difficult either. It’s alright if you paint and try different subjects, you must enjoy the process of creating. Try different subjects like portrait, landscapes, abstracts etc. While you try many different subjects you’ll find out what you are good with and what’s the one thing that you enjoyed the most while creating. Eventually, you will find that one subject that keeps you calling back to it and that’s how you’ll discover what you like to paint most. When you keep painting one subject you will automatically develop a unique style of your own. It’s only a matter of practice and time. Also, sticking to one art medium helps a lot to discover your style as different mediums give different effects while painting. Stick to a medium and subject and keep practising/creating it to find your unique style. As simple as that. It isn’t that complicated, isn’t it? It only requires determination and hard work. "Прозрачный свет" В энциклопедии "Королевские династии" была глава про стеклянного короля. Он думал что хрупкий и может разбиться. Но человек на этом портрете прозрачен не потому что хрупкий, а потому что пропускал все через себя и потому что виден и понятен. Это образ человека, в ком я видела доброту и красоту, качества которые я раньше приписывала только женщинам. Я не общалась с ним во время академии, но помню его картины и стихи, и то каким светлым может быть прозрачный человек днем. "Transparent light" In the encyclopedia "Royal Dynasties" there was a chapter about the Glass King. He thought he was fragile and could break. But the person in this portrait is transparent, not because he is fragile, but because he let everything through him and because he is visible and understandable. This is the image of a person in whom I saw kindness and beauty, qualities that I previously attributed only to women. "Свет Тепла" Если я еще совершаю последние шаги из детства, то вот икона покидаемого храма. Там откуда мы приходим - тепло. Оно жизненно необходимо, тепло важнее света, потому что свет не греет. Тепло само по себе можно увидеть светом. Цветом. Пятном. Как смотреть на солнце с закрытыми веками или через ладонь. Придя "в холодный серый мир" мне повезло забрать тепло и окружиться им, как будто и не снаружи, и еще долго греться этим светом. "Отраженный свет" Это окно ванной, оно маленькое и высоко. За ним большой орех, его листья и в этом окне и в окне моей комнаты. Радио хорошо слышно - ванна рядом с кухней. Мне нравилось что можно было поливать с ковша и прямо на пол, потому что там дыра - это весело. Самой ванной я потому не пользовалась - ванна это обычно, есть у всех, а дырка в полу не у всех. Я помню это место всегда вечером при тусклом свете лампы. Окно запотевало и я смотрела на отражение - капли наливались и текли вниз, темные листья качались из стороны в сторону. И где-то там была я. "Reflected light" This is the bathroom window, it is small and high. Behind it is a large walnut, its leaves both in this window and in the window of my room. The radio is well audible - the bathroom is next to the kitchen. I liked pouring water on myself from a ladle directly onto the floor because there was a hole - there is fun. And that’s why I didn’t use the bathtub itself - everyone has a bathtub, but not everyone has a hole in the floor. I remember this place always in the evening in dim lamp light. "Свет Уюта" Во время учебы я снимала комнату у одинокой бабушки. Она только недавно оставила работу в младшей школе, любила детей, да и людей вцелом. Любила жизнь и принимала ее монотонные дни с обыденным порядком. Это было созвучно мне. У нас была белая ласковая кошка и злая черная собачка, они всегда крутились вокруг ее укутаных в многослойной шерсти больных ног. Мы встречались только в кухне, всегда включали разговорное радио, слушали или говорили о чем то. Там все было голубым - ее любимый цвет - обои, занавески, скатерти, халат в котором она ходила. Я долго вспоминала это место и ее, хотела навещать но больше не приехала. И как мушка в янтаре, ее образ, в том халате, на кухне, с собакой и кошкой, застыл, излучая уют. "Light of Cosiness" During my studies, I rented a room from a lonely old woman. She had only recently left her job in elementary school, loved children, and people in general. She loved life and accepted its monotonous days with a routine. It was in tune with me. We had an affectionate white cat and a wicked black little dog, they always swirled around her sore legs, wrapped in multi-layered fur. We met only in the kitchen, always turned on the talk radio, listened or talked about something. Everything was blue there - her favorite color - wallpaper, curtains, tablecloths, a bathrobe in which she wore. I remembered this place and her for a long time, wanted to visit but never came again. "Свет Благости" На летней практике мы остановили молодую женщину в длинной юбке и соломенной шляпе, подымавшуюся по склону. Мы предложили ей попозировать. Она была очень милой и я сделала несколько карандашных набросков. Ее образ отпечатался в памяти. А следующей осенью она пришла в академию как учительница английского. Мне хотелось удивлять ее, быть замеченной. В домашних сочинениях я писала причудливые сказки и тайные истории о себе, просиживая с двумя толстыми словарями, зная что никто кроме нее не расшифрует смысл. Через время она ушла и я ходила заниматься к ней домой. В ней были тишина и умиротворение. Губы всегда немного улыбались а голос был легким и прозрачным. В углу ее кухни висела икона. Как-то она сказала что поет в церковном хоре. Позже я узнала что она носит ребенка. От нее исходил благостный свет. "Blissful Light" During our summer practice, we stopped a young woman in a long skirt and straw hat walking up a slope. We invited her to pose. She was very cute and I did some pencil sketches. Her image was imprinted in my memory. And the next fall, she came to the academy as an English teacher. I wanted to do surprises for her, to be noticed of her. In home essays I wrote bizarre fairy tales and secret stories about myself, sitting with two thick dictionaries, knowing that no one except her would decipher the meaning. After a while she left and I went to get private lessons at her home. There was silence and peace in her. Her lips always smiled a little and her voice was light and transparent. There was an icon in the corner of her kitchen. Once she said that she sings in a church choir. Later I found out that she was carrying a baby.
