The problem with this theory is that it doesn’t come up with any new information like it suggests by starting with one single celled organism (amoeba) and branching out to create new organisms containing completely“new” genetic information. This theory disproves itself because it starts with specified information(DNA specifically nucleotide sequence) and then deletes bits and pieces of it or rearranges it over time . Thus , essentially not creating anything “new” just using the same genetic material in a new manner. A dog , wolf, coyote could most definitely have a common ancestor but are all very different from an orange and did not share a common ancestor with an orange(whatever created a dog didn’t also create something so different as an orange or a a tree). This type of evolution is known as Micro evolution which is the only type of evolution to ever actually be observed to occur(what Charles Darwin and many other scientists observed) . This type of evolution is defined as the evolution of species in terms of new variations or adaptions to help them survive(I.e survival of the fittest)! Ex/ Roaches can build up resistance to pesticides but most likely won’t build up resistance to be squashed by a shoe. Ex #2/A species of wild dog lives in a hot area and then moves to winter like environment and over generations grows thick , long fur. P.S. When I asked my evolution professor “what characteristics of properties did the single cell organism that all life came from have? And when exactly was this organism around and when did it come into existence? His exact words were “ we don’t have any evidence to answer those questions”…….
