Hey there! 👋 I want to share some pics and commentary from our recent lunch at The Edison 🏭 over in Disney Springs! 🤩 You can almost always snag a reservation here, but in all the many trips to Disney World - we just never found ourselves eating at the Edison. The food was pleasing and comfortable. They hit the classic American staples (I had a fried chicken sandwich 🍔 and Maggie had a burger). The Edison really shines when it comes to their cocktails and mocktails 🍸 which we also sampled. Even more impressive than the food and drink is the hyper focus on their industrial / steam punk-inspired decor 🤖 and entertainment offerings. It was pretty immersive! I give it a solid rating and it is something to keep in mind if you're looking for a relatively easy reservation or if you want to feel like you're drinking a cocktail so fancy that it might be illegal. . . the theme is the 1920's after all . . .and that was the prohibition era. 🕰️ Let's be glad we're not living in those times because man . . . We had the greatest time last night at @theedisonfla. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the live entertainment is absolutely stunning. Live entertainment is the magic. Yes, the place that best describes my aesthetic is in Disney Springs. Have you ever been to The Edison at DS? I could live there. The smoky cocktails, the grand, yet industrial staircase leading into a speakeasy type vibe with some serious singing — the entire vibe is so me. After all, it’s my dream to be Tina Goldstein in Fantastic Beasts. (You know how I feel about Newt Scamander.) It will always feel so special that we kicked off The All American Roadshow last year at Disney. I remember the night this pic was taken talking to a woman named Irene at the bar who couldn’t believe we’d put our stuff in storage and planning to drive across the country and back! I remember telling her how excited I was to see NOLA, The Grand Canyon, my hope to see David Copperfield in Vegas (IYKYK), San Francisco, etc. So wild to think we did it. ✨We really did that. ✨ Do the thing you’ve been wanting to do. You won’t regret it. Happy First Sunday in March. What’s your favorite thing at Disney? And/or who’s your favorite character? Mine? Princess Tiana — always and forever. 🐸 👑 I own her Mickey ears but not the green ones, the special ones that represent Tiana, the business owner. Peep my stories to see them! They only sell them in 2 places on the entire Disney property. I wore them every single day last year at Disney.

From the walls, to the decor, to the bartenders and singers dressed up in 20s garb, The Edison certainly strives for a certain mood. But what happens when you look beyond the aesthetics? First off, our server Tori was awesome (anyone who can memorize orders immediately impresses me). The menu is definitely over-priced, but I mean, you're at Disney, so just go with the flow. Got a bourbon drink to start, and the half roasted chicken as my meal. I had fairly low expectations, but this dish was perfectly cooked; the skin was crispy, the meat moist, the potatoes tender, and the sauce acted as the perfect accompaniment. January 12, 2024 Ran into EPCOT today for the start of Festival of the Arts. It was very crowded and very hot and muggy. I didn’t do a full lap but I was able to check out some of the art booths and also find a few more decals that I missed yesterday. I’ll be back next week and hopefully try some food and explore the rest of the festival. Later I met some friends at Disney Springs for dinner at the Edison. I had never been here before. It is very similar to my job minus the chocolate. But it has a really nice atmosphere and all the food we tried was really good. Highly recommend the spinach cheese dip. I think it was all of our favorite from the night. After dinner we walked over to Summerhouse and got dessert from their bakery. 🍴 Restaurant Spotlight 🍴 The Edison is at Disney Springs, serving up American style food with a 1920's industrial nightclub feel We went for my birthday and brought our toddler and it felt perfect for the dynamic we wanted; upscale delicious food with a family friendly atmosphere. They have a ton of fun unique cocktail options if you're looking to imbibe And delicious food for the whole family: we got the Electri-fries to start which were an explosion of flavor I wasn't expecting and a massive portion, I ordered the Edison Burger, the baby had a massive plate of chicken tenders and fries, a plate of fresh fruit (which they brought out earlier than everything else when they noticed he was getting restless 🙏) and a cookie, and the hubby ordered the Roasted Chicken Plate which he was blown away by Plus!
