After many years of tanning myself and sun exposure my skin is showing the latent effects. 🥲 This is a photo of my left thigh with BCC. Over the past year I’ve have had several pop up. One on my thigh, another on my forearm and 3 areas on my forehead which were biopsied and showed they were nodular type BCC. My dermatologist wanted to carve out more area on my forehead to get clear margins but I wasn’t quite sure I wanted to go through that. I feel that it leaves visible divots and well it’s my face…😆 🧐 After researching and reading up on several studies with Frankincense, I decided to treat my BCC areas with Frankincense essential oil. I applied Frankincense 2-3 times a day for 20 weeks and the amazing results show in the photo. 👉 NOTE: I had the convo with my doc that IF the areas return I will come back to have him treat and remove the skin lesions. 🇬🇧When I planned the TOUR from Kirkenes to Tromsø, I thought of all kinds of situations that could arise due to natural conditions. Extreme cold, total misjudgement of the difficulty of the route and consequently too little food, wind so strong that pitching the tent would be almost impossible....! What I somehow hadn’t expected was that after two days of continuous sunshine under a cloudless sky, my head would be pounding so hard that I’d feel completely dizzy. 😬Of course, I wear sunglasses, sun cream and cover up as best I can, but after a while I still felt so strange that I was glad to reach the small village of Raattama today afternoon, where I can fortunately rest indoors. Oh yeah, those were the days! We weren’t thinking about what was happening to our skin & hair, we were just jamming out to the tunes and trying to get that sun-kissed glow! Fast forward a bunch of years and you can see how the sun damage of years past is now making its grand appearance. If I knew then what I know now, I would have been more diligent with sunscreen use and would not have “laid out” as much. Not going to say never because I was a teenager! I’m so glad that there are now effective things we can do to even out our skin tone and fade dark spots. Mine has improved drastically and I’m still working on it.
