My experience with lowering the Vic. After looking at a hundred different posts I decided to go with the Moog CC501 rear springs and cut one coil in the front. My results were not as low as I hoped for, but ok for now. The rear dropped about 1 1/4” and the front only dropped about 5/8”. In hindsight I would have cut a coil and a half. I may go back and cut again but I’m gonna leave it alone for now. #viclife #pantherplatform #moog

Apparently today is "Monday the 4th of March, which is, of course, March Forth and Do Something Day" [thx Waffle - https://wafflegame.net/daily- for keeping me up to date on these things and giving my day a focal point!] The #volunteers today took this to heart and the whole area we maintain, Tea Garden, Orchard and the area near the pollinator gardens got a massive tidy up! Fennel was felled [and reused as mulch] and buddleia {butterfly bush} was made into low barrier fencing! Never fear, well before the summer is out, both will have completely regrown! I never fail to be impressed with the dedication of the people from all walks of life who come out for a few hours, chop, drop and chat. January has flown by faster than I can recall… but today i am taking an in breath and and out breath… Last week I heard from two friends who are both stepping into their cancer journeys… it was humbling and heart wrenching to speak to them and share my story and help in any way possible. We learn from human experience and I believe we can inspire each other tremendously. But it takes work to create the space only for good and hopeful stories. It takes the commitment to choose the positive outcome and not even allow in what isn’t. And I don’t think it is Pollyanna ish - for me it was what allowed me to move through this journey and to keep stepping forward into recovery. Today I am grateful to live by the ocean. I grew up by the Arabian sea and now I live on the shores of the pacific. On thé days that I miss seeing the sea something doesn’t feel quite right. It’s been a week… must have been the school holidays but it only now has begun to feel like the new year is here and it’s time to embrace it!!! Also Feeling the juggling of medical appointments and life. Had to get another mri today and crossing fingers and toes that all is well. Also, Creative surges coupled with wanting to do nothing - hibernation mode… Finally, I am feeling grateful to live life in real time. I read today that the average no of hours North American adults spend on their phones is 4 hours… that is 4 hours out of the precious 24 we have and there is so much we could be doing instead. I have always had a love / hate relationship w social media. I love the connection, but omg it can suck me right in and I know how much I don’t need that. Neither do you!!! I will show up here but just to share these life snippets and to tell you when I am up to interesting work things. The sky has darkened, the mornings feel as dark as the evenings and it has been pouring rain the last few days. Winter is here and you can feel its insistence. I’ve been noticing how much the power of ritual can help us manage how we feel right now. And how beautiful it is that when you consider most rituals from around the planet, when it is dark, we focus on bringing in light… This week, Ananda Lion and I participated in an advent spiral walk, a ritual that we know from his time at a Steiner school in Santa Cruz. He started an ig account called @thatonecarspotter_ 😄) - home made chai for a community of special women. We had a gift exchange last night and I am feeling so loved! It’s been a while. I’ve had a lot to think about. And not enough time to reflect. Perhaps it is the energy of summer but it has felt non stop and busy with much out of my own control. The days thankfully are long, yet when they are so beautiful I forget to rest. So I am trying to build in some rest time even as I consciously keep stepping back out into the world. Healing, say so many teachers is not linear. I feel that so fully. There are good days and hard days. There are days when I berate my body and there are days when I thank it fully - I am trying to lean into the thankfulness. I finally stepped into a gym yesterday- slow baby steps - and I felt my self slowly starting to reintegrate towards more connection and strength. Time… it is all about time. The seasons are shifting. This is when we can start to get a seasonal cold and we need to release the build up of summer’s heat so we can prep for the fall. This morning I made juice w fennel and carrots and an apple from our Neighbours tree. The fruit is swelling slowly toward ripeness - and we move towards fall and a time to think about harvesting - yes plants, but also our thoughts our dreams. I feel like my thoughts meander and I’m still in the process of finding the pieces of me that tie into strong threads. I keep returning to wellness and balance, thriving and mindset and communicating this out into the world. I sometimes want a megaphone - to tell everyone who is suffering from anything - that you have to lean into it, don’t resist it - and you will emerge. There is space. There is a way. You have to look within to find strength and you have to look within to know yourself. Also our bodies have an intuitive way of releasing when we let them. And we must. We must let go of old pain. It does not help us in any way. We must live for today. To really cherish these moments. So that’s what I want to share today. I’m over here trying to eat simple foods, smile and let stress roll off me while drinking in the sunshine… Ps. Yoga is manna right now.
