Collectors are the agents of Hope for artist. This piece created in 1995, is from the Reed Applegate art collection, the visionary who started the museum of Northern California art. (MONCA) After his passing a large segment of his collection was sidetracked to the auction house. Collectors still make the art world go round. On this day in history 09/09/23. In 1886 The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works is finalized. The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, usually known as the Berne Convention, was an international assembly held in 1886 in the Swiss city of Bern by ten European countries with the goal to agree on a set of legal principles for the protection of original work. They drafted and adopted a multi-party contract containing agreements for a uniform, border-crossing system that became known under the same name. The treaty provides authors, musicians, poets, painters, and other creators with the means to control how their works are used, by whom, and on what terms. In some jurisdictions these type of rights are being referred to as copyright. Before the Berne Convention, copyright legislation remained uncoordinated at an international level. The Berne Convention introduced the concept that protection exists the moment a work is "fixed", that is, written or recorded on some physical medium, its author is automatically entitled to all copyrights in the work and to any derivative works, unless and until the author explicitly disclaims them or until the copyright expires. A creator need not register or "apply for" a copyright in countries adhering to the convention. It also enforces a requirement that countries recognize rights held by the citizens of all other parties to the convention. Foreign authors are given the same rights and privileges to copyrighted material as domestic authors in any country that ratified the convention. When I studied at Harvard University we had to plan by sketching and create rooms for the outdoor garden we were designing. This sketch shows one of our projects which had to be a mystery writer garden. This landscape design and final model (not pictured) received rave reviews from the group instructors because they had never seen aluminum trees 🌳 for model trees. I was on a very tight budget for my final models. This project I took and wadded up aluminum foil for only dollars and shaped it like the top of a tree and spray painted them green. I then mounted them on toothpicks and stuck them on top of the cardboard topography base. I spent only a few dollars on the many trees. Adults and children somehow have to work out emotions. Prayer is my favorite answer yet while I was waiting for answers yesterday I finished a painting. I call this the after death painting. The Messiah died for our sins so none of us had to die. I don’t do abstracts often but for the last two months I have had the worst situations happen. I let the emotions ride out the roller coaster so to speak when I did this painting. It portrayed for me every road that was blocked, the weather, comments overheard from other people, financial expenses that were never expected, etc. I wanted to portray this through my eyes that can still see the light that is left through the darkness everywhere. I think Jesus suffered much more than I could ever imagine before death even though I have went through very tragic situations but have survived through prayers that were miracle answers. This painting is available for sale. It is $100 based on time, materials and most importantly thought. This painting is asking us to question what Jesus went through before he even died on the cross for us. No more honor killings were ever needed in his name. We are not supposed to suffer in his name. I wanted a man that would wave one of these fronds over me while on the beach but God had other plans. There were only a few nice days while on vacation but not warm days for beach weather where I could put on my bikini that I haven’t had a chance to wear since I bought my bikini before the start of COVID. My design portfolio is available by appointment. When I had a design business my two favorite projects included a Montessori School design plan and a Dental Office design plan and installation that received wildlife habitat certification. Most of my plans are actual artistic renderings because that is what was required by the college. I invested 120 hour work weeks when I had a business but I never did understand how a computer company could steal my data, open up their own design business and when someone found out about it then the business owner fled the country with his family and then the economy tanked. Many people lost their homes, businesses, vehicles and even pets. I want people to not only flourish financially but to also enjoy their work so much that they really don't need a break from it. I can teach others how to design landscapes, interiors, florals and events. I attended ivy league college out-of-state for summer school. I had to have letters of reference and a 500-word essay and received a full scholarship. My full-time employer let me have that summer off since I was a star performer. I want everyone who would love to learn and who wants to create a clean environment and have a prosperous career whether or not they have a disability. This design plan was for the property when I had my home built. My great credit at the time didn't require a cosigner for the loan. I loved the idea of outdoor garden views that could be seen from every interior view. Today, I made Creamy French Country Chicken and Noodles with the noodles made by a company in Indiana. If you like to dine like royalty then a commercial kitchen is what makes cuisine taste the best in the world! No I don't have formal training but I sure know how to make food taste good. I love the idea of a marble kitchen center isle with seating in front of the prep area so it is entertainment to watch while I prepare and cook food while people sip beverages and taste appetizers. My favorite wood dining room table was made by Centurion and was built to last a century. When I was in my last year of high school, my entire year was spent only on studies about famous artists. After learning about these artists, I made many mistakes when I worked on assignments to turn in but mistakes were necessary to become better. This pen and ink I did got ruined because a big pile of ink spilled onto the bottom part of my project before it was finished. I ended up having to ink out the remainder of the composition because I had put many hours into this project but would not have been able to meet the deadline if I had to start over. I received a scholarship in high school because I was exhibited in a competition during my last year. However, the pencil drawing I exhibited for the competition got stolen with most of my high school portfolio that didn't get framed. My favorite item that got stolen was a pointilism pen and ink which was my final that was done after studying Georges Suerat. The only item I gifted to someone from my high school portfolio was a wire sculpture of a tennis player. Family dynamics make a huge part of relationship and even work success. I grew up with no brothers and a father who was at work for long hours and a mother that taught us how to be a housewife until she decided to go back to work when we were teenagers. Then right before graduation we were given the choice of staying or leaving Indiana when my parents left. We stayed and paid bills. That taught me some very valuable lessons but made it much harder to find a man who was committed to letting me be a housewife by marrying me first in my 20’s. Instead of having a husband financially supporting me I had full time work and even part time work and for more than 8 years I studied at a local college and out-of-state design university, taking courses and getting certified as administrative office professional and even attended training courses and got licensed to sell insurance. My fear was never having a man marry me because I was told as a teenager by my grandmother that I would never be able to have children after something happened to me. Now my heart feels torn apart from the education I had to learn to keep myself employed versus merging a relationship into marriage where a man understands everything I went through to survive. I want children if the doctor approves on me giving childbirth or if we adopt or foster. I want a marriage where the man loves family and animals. I loved training race horses that would win races when I was younger. Last year was extremely challenging growing sunflowers. The deer were foraging on the new seedlings. There were frogs resting under large tufts of grass which is dangerous unless you step around instead of on the large tufts of grass. The beetles were going crazy eating the flower petals. Eventually I resowed another grouping of sunflower seeds and watched over them daily with watering if needed and added compost to them, and finally in October I got some good and healthy blooms. Luckily I was able to collect enough seeds from the late season flowers I grew for the next planting. I definitely feel a fence is needed to keep the deer out. I finally finished my Star of Bethlehem painting that I started in 2018. This painting is now for sale. It has been a lengthy process with multiple coats of paint which created a crackling effect that makes my painting look very old. I wanted the flower petals to have iridescence so I layered on the acrylic paint to give it a multidimensional effect. In 2020, the Star of Bethlehem aligned to see it in the sky so I wanted to give the canvas a special affect with glitter and a specialized paint to give the stardust look of sparkling in a night starry sky. I prayed for protection when I cleaned the neighborhood up where I grew up in as a child. This photo was taken on June 6, 2017 around 8:30. I really believe these are the wings of Archangel Michael. I started back down the road and I stopped to pick up trash and noticed those huge angel wings had been following me down that entire road. As a child, I was intrigued by one of the tiniest butterflies I would seeing flying around the yard. It was a silvery grey with blue and hints of lilac that seemed to shimmer in the full sun. Recently, I learned that the Palos Verdes Blue Butterfly is the rarest and most endangered butterfly in the world. I just recently finished a painting that has a great deal of time, supplies and love put into it. It was first completed in 2018. Yet this year I looked at it and didn't like how the yellow wasn't very vivid with the black background. Since I had more time this month I got out some neon yellow paint I bought this year and intensified coloring with the neon and other highlights of this sunflower painting. The top part of the dress with sequins were removed and I used them for the inner seed area of the sunflower. (These sequins were from the cocktail dress I wore for the Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home.) I then accented those sequins with pieces of copper-colored rhinestones from a stretchy bracelet I wore that broke. I know I have spent at least 20 hours on this painting if not twice the amount of time. The sunflower seed variety I grew to represent this painting were over 10 feet tall! Sunflowers have always been my fascination. Their heads rotate throughout the day to constantly face the sun. My entire Instagram account has been dedicated to growing many seed varieties of sunflowers, flowers, trees, shrubs, herbs, and food for people and animals, etc. This painting is for sale because it presently is my work and money is needed to pay my bills. Women do get a bad reputation in their 40's to 50's and even younger women 32 years old or up may soon be getting symptoms of perimenopause. The perimenopause phase lasts 4 to 8 years. That is enough to test any woman's emotions which will affect a man's emotions. My last opportunity was on New Year's Eve. I never know when the next opportunity will be because for the last three years I have went close to a year before another opportunity happens if ever again before menopause can be confirmed. Yes, I was told by my grandma as a teenager that I will never be able to have a baby because I suffered the ravages of a 104 degree temperature by being out in the sun too long when I worked outside. She rescued me and took me to an herbologist for the rest of my teenage years because both of my parents were working. Natural remedies for emotional rescue and sunshine is definitely my favorite source. I need to make sure shade, ocean or pool and plenty of fresh, filtered water with lemon juice are available to me. Fresh lemons help to avoid burning the skin and balance pH levels so make sure to save the lemons after squeezing them to rub and prevent the harmful rays. The sunrays are a natural source of Vitamin D so be careful not to fall asleep and have someone you love with you when outside! Grandma was spiritual and loved the Jewish people but she was a nondenominational Christian like I was before she passed. She wanted me to be the spiritual guide in my family. My father doesn't know if he was baptised or not. He protected me from men he thought were not matches. Messianic is my faith because I saw shofar shaped clouds in the sky during the sunset before Rosh Hashanah. I knew God was stepping me up in faith because of my prophetical, healing, and gifts of tongue that developed in me since I was reborn. Love is my only force for living. I love the sun in the summer. My top two advices for looking 25 when I am in my mid 50's is to drink plenty of water to reduce wrinkles and plump up skin and eat a handful of sunflower seeds for a snack every day. Did you know the hummingbird is the fastest bird in comparison to body size? It is actually faster than fighter jets when it dives and goes into G-force speed. Hummingbirds love sunflower seeds. They sure appreciated me that year I was tending to the sunflower garden and they hovered so close over both of my arms and felt like my own personal air conditioner with rapidly flapping wings. Sunflower nutrition is what supplies the hummingbird with the energy to fly fast with B vitamins to allow rapid energy in their flight. This vitamin also helps lower cholesterol. The reason I personally grew sunflowers was because the seed is edible (especially the Grey-Stripe Mammoths pictured in my hand). I ate this top superhealthy seed. When I originally got on internet it was to save animals. I got many views on my YouTube videos. It was amazing how people around the world were very interested in wanting to save animals. Right as I lost my business I had so many YouTube views that I would get paid for my content yet I took them down after I lost my business during the struggle to keep it open during the last economic recession. Then the economy tanked. I lost my brand new home I had built for my business. I lost my car. I lost my pets. I lost my support group and couldn't visit friends for a while. Now, through this Covid-19, again, I am losing things with no money to get anywhere until the first unemployment check or stimulus check arrives. Through this quarantine I have noticed so much on how animals have much more freedom then we will ever have. I toured many states to find out about the manatees and how they would get caught in fishing line as well as this turtle who is now an endangered turtle and that is why I wanted to start reporting on the environment. I need one full time employment at my age to replace my retirement income that I saved up for and chose to attend an out-of-state college for environmental design. We were not allowed to design any of our plans on computers even though we had one CAD (Computer Aided Design) class. They taught us the importance of how much money our design plans were worth at the ivy league college I attended. They showed us the original landscape plans of the city of the ivy league college I attended that were hand drawn. They kept these drawings in a special temperature controlled room for permanent documentation for the designs of the city. Nowadays in order to survive I feel I have to learn technical design but yet today I failed to do something technical. I am available to do a design plan for you that is hand drawn.
