@mallorca312 race . 226km 3670m + and 07:35h After a great week of training in Mallorca @daniel_egger_aut and I topped it off with racing the 225km race. Lower gradient mountains is faster ascending and it was a full gas all uphills ending up with a 24th place of over 2500 starters. What a great race. Over 8500 starters on all 3 distances its a crazy path to battle your way to the front when starting in the last block. The last 70 km I was sucking wheels in the flats and then rode the last 45km with a broken handlebar. A risk to take but it was worth it in the end. Have I mentioned that this is the best bike I've ever owned in every single way? I've been cycling a long time now, the last mountain bike race I entered was 10 years ago, the first time I did the South Downs Way was before Strava so I have no evidence (I did purchase the @ordnancesurvey maps from WHSmiths though before I set off) and over the years I've spent a terrifying amount of money on bikes and kit. I've had alloy, titanium, cheap carbon, handmade Italian carbon and mass produced steel bikes and a lot of them were great bikes. But none of them come close to my @feathercycles ! It's by far the most comfortable bike I've ever had and it doesn't matter how little I've been on it, it still feels right. It glides over North Yorkshires appalling road surfaces and was worth every single penny.
