Shea Whigham (probably best remembered from the HBO series Boardwalk Empire) sits with Chris Chalk outside what is supposed to be a downtown Los Angeles restaurant in a scene from the HBO take on the classic defense attorney drama. The production values on this show were top notch, and the cast was excellent, so I was disappointed when this show didn’t get picked up for a third season, but you can tell just from watching that it was a pretty expensive show to produce. Two TV shows that recently caught my attention are 1.Death comes to Pemberley is a three-part miniseries based on the novel by P.D.James and picks off from where Austen left it.The Darcys are now settled at Pemberley(Darcy's family estate up north) and enjoying a blissful married life...P.D.James adds her own spin to the story by adding a bit of murder and mystery to the erstwhile purely romantic genre;A darker version of Austen's 2.Lost in Austen is another British miniseries,starring Jemima Rooper(famed for her role in the Famous Five television series;based on Enid Blyton's books....another childhood favourite:the dubbed version used to run on Rupavahini back in the day).
