Last day of #DisneyCaliforniaFoodAndWine for us yesterday. Pastrami fries (crinkle-cut fries with cheese sauce, pastrami, SJG sauce and pickles) from #SmokejumpersGrill . Pretty good serving size. I liked the cheese sauce but the "SJG sauce" (as in SmokeJumpersGrill) was more like a Thousand Island dressing, and the sweetness didn't really fit in for me. There's a new plant-based breakfast coming soon (starting Dec 6) to Smokejumper's Grill in California Adventure! It is in the plant-based section of the menu and will have the plant-based menu icon, defined as "made without animal meat, dairy, eggs, or honey." That means that each component within the description of the item is the plant-based version of that thing, even if it doesn't repeat "plant-based" for each component. This new Chorizo Burrito will have sausage (probably @impossible_foods) chorizo (probably some brand of soyrizo or housemade), egg (probably @justegg), cheese (probably @followyourheart or @daiyafoods), hashbrowns, Avocado sauce, and molcajete salsa. We retreated to the indoor refuge of Smokejumpers, where we ordered up pierogies and kielbasa, onion rings, a hibiscus-blueberry agua fresca, and a Chip 'n Dale straw clip (hey, I thought it was cute!). The kielbasa had a surprising (for Disney) amount of heat, and the pierogies were totally deep-fried Mrs. T's. The fresh dill on top was nice, though! The onion rings were onion rings; nothing spectacular. The agua fresca was WAY tart! It was advertised as having lime juice in it, but that citrus tartness completely overpowered it. Yesterday, I had lunch at Smokejumpers Grill, one of my favorite quick service restaurants at Disney California Adventure Park. I loved the crinkle-cut fries and my chocolate & vanilla shake with whipped cream. I preferred the thicker burgers they used to have to the 2 thin burger patties I was given. The salad was just ok. I wish they had an option without chicken.
