Casting is confirmed for the London premiere of Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile. Co-produced by The Roald Dahl Story Company, Leeds Playhouse (where it received its world premiere staging last December) and Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, the family-friendly musical features a score by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab (who performs under the band name Sinkane), book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, and additional music and lyrics, orchestrations, arrangements and musical supervision by Tom Brady. The ENORMOUS crocodile is weaving his way through the jungle in search of delicious little fingers and squidgy podgy knees. Only the other jungle creatures can foil his secret plans and clever tricks, but they’re going to have to find a large amount of courage to stop this greedy brute. This new musical version of Roald Dahl’s picture book has tasty tunes by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab and has a rib-tickling book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, and additional music and lyrics by Tom Brady. Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile The Musical | Leeds Playhouse | 07/12/2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recently my family and I were invited to the world premiere of Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile The Musical at Leeds Playhouse. The show started at 1pm and the run time for the show is 55 mins with no interval. For this show we were sat in the Stalls Row G seats 15 - 18 and the view from this seat was excellent and we had plenty of leg room. The ENORMOUS crocodile is weaving his way through the jungle in search of delicious little fingers and squidgy podgy knees. Only the other jungle creatures can foil his secret plans and clever tricks, but they’re going to have to find a large amount of courage to stop this greedy brute. The creative team includes Basia Binkowska, Ryan Dawson-Laight, Daniel Hay-Gordon, Lotte Hines, and Cory Hippolyte. For our family theatregoers, the new version of Roald Dahl’s picture book, The Enormous Crocodile, plays during the daytime from 17th May to 8th June. The musical, developed and directed by Emily Lim, features book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, music by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, and additional music and lyrics from Tom Brady. Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic story, The Secret Garden, will run from 15th June to 20th July. In Fantastic Mr. Fox the foxes and all the other digging animals are trapped under the ground by the farmers. Mr. Fox finds a solution and is able to provide them with food. In Esio Trot a man is in love with his neighbor downstairs and he comes up with a plot that will make her fall in love with him. The plan is to make her pet tortoise grow. And The Enormous Crocodile the crocodile is trying to get a meal however, all the other animals end up saving the people he’s about to eat. In the Giraffe and the Pelly and Me, a monkey, a giraffe, a pelican and a boy save the life of a duke, when they are at his mansion washing windows . There were all super cute and have been on my TBR for a long time now.

2023 in puppets A year of adapting well loved stories from illustration and animation into theatrical, three-dimensions. Two theatre trips in the final week of term saw Prep School pupils venture to Leeds Playhouse. The jungle awaits the bravest of children! It was absolutely fantastic ! It was the first proper musical I’ve taken Nina to and the singing , set and characters were amazing. There was quite a lot of audience participation too and loads going on to look at. It’s aimed at children aged 4 and above but there were younger kids there. Nina loves the play area on the first floor as well! This musical is on at Leeds Playhouse until 6th January so there’s plenty of time to get your tickets.
