At some point, you and your teammates played together for the last time and nobody deeply realized it.. until you do 🥹⚾️ When you give a boy a baseball, you give him more than just a ball. You give him a sport, hope, dreams, friends, family, a place to learn about life, and space to grow as a person. You give him a place where he can push his limits in a safe environment. He will learn about bravery and courage and he will make a lifetime of memories. He will have all of these things, simply because you gave a boy a baseball. All because you gave a boy a baseball — You will be there the day he hits his first home run, his first strikeout, and his first double play. He will make you so very proud. Other parents will congratulate you but you will feel strange saying thank you because it’s not you at bat or on the mound - it’s him. He did this and right before your eyes, your little boy will be transformed from the baby who spun around with his head on the bat - because he loves attention - into a pitcher because he still loves attention 🙃 FINALLY get to share some shots from this incredible session. Holding back for over a month has been hard! Tonight we celebrated SENIOR NIGHT for ten senior players alongside coaches, teammates, family and friends. Grounded Love 🖤 Earth heals us through our feet. We heal others through our hands and hearts. Earthing, also known as grounding, allows us to directly connect our bodies with the earth and use its natural electric charges to stabilize our nervous system on a cellular level. The feet are energetic roots to our bodies. Walking barefoot on dirt, grass, sand, etc.. is a mindful and wonderful way to balance the energy in the body when we feel emotionally, mentally, physically exhausted (or all of the above) and need a boost of energy. Also a beautiful way to connect with Mother Nature. Find someone who keeps you grounded, but doesn’t hold you down. Find someone who keeps you sane, but still drives you crazy in all the good ways. Find someone who believes in you, wants to invest in you, wants to learn from you, wants to grow with you, wants to see you win, supports your wildest dreams and falls in love with you daily. Mesmerizing elopement + twin flame kinda love 🌅 Authenticity. Connection. Chemistry. Nurturing. A force of love that pushes you to grow beyond your imagination. It’s like winning a golden ticket to fast-track evolution without being offered much time to catch your breath, yet it feels like a fresh breath of air — at the same damn time. You see one another’s darkness, light and trigger the deepest wounds that you didn’t know existed, in a way, no one else ever has. This kind of relationship is to experience a liberated love. A liberated love is the love that goes far beyond any concepts, labels, people pleasing and ideas of how a relationship should be. For the kids. For the kingdom. ♥️ Educating children about diversity is paramount (as it is for adults). Mindful connections and experiences are an awe-inspiring way of showing others the importance of being compassionate and celebrating differences in all people and things. Exposing ourselves to different cultural aspects and meaningful community events, offers unique experiences in effort that we realize we're all human, despite how we look, how we dress, what we eat, what we believe in or celebrate. Differences such as race, religion, spirituality, language, traditions, gender and so on are something we should freely speak of without having to walk on eggshells. Because well, different strokes for different folks. It is said that children notice differences between people at about age 2 years as they begin to notice gender and racial differences. At 2 ½ or so, children start learning gender labels and name of colors — which they begin to apply to skin color. Around 3 years of age, children notice physical differences. At about 4-5 years, they begin to display gender appropriate behaviors emitting who they are and more times than not, become fearful of differences. The loss of child innocence is really a loss of an open heart. We tend to lose sight of our openness to life, to people, to dreams, to desire and our ability to be in the present and feel what we feel, a lot of times, gets compromised on the way to adulthood. As we say goodbye to 2023 and as beautifully broken as I am.. I am filled with immense gratitude for the mindful souls in my world. For The Fellas — that's what I am calling these sessions 🤙🏽 Allow children to be happy in their own way, for what better way will they find? — Your first child will experience every version of you. The good, the bad, and the ugly. They will love you through it all. They think they needed you but all along it was you who needed them.. Years of wishing males (not just littles that aren’t given a choice) would get in front of my lens and it's happening! As a mom of teens and educator, I know it is vital to be in tune with our kids mental wellness, it’s the root of it all. And I mean all. Photography tells a story, even when the story line changes as we evolve. When your child sees their photos, I want them to feel a sense of belonging. I want them to look at themselves through a lens of self acceptance and all the self love. Life isn't just black and white, there's so much in between. Having the best of both worlds is my testament for believing that mental health is as big as a deal for girls, as it is for boys. But there are so many stigmas that must be broken — especially for fellas. Children are going to make mistakes. That does not make them bad. That makes them human. Beautifully, messily human, just as we all are 🥹

The future will unfold, and you will look back and realize that every twist and turn was a necessary part of your journey. Deeply rooted.. 🏝️ Humans crave receiving love and giving love because it feels good. The affection and emotional intimacy are desirable for most, so romantic love can be thought of as an instinct or drive to fulfill one of our endless human needs. But there’s a difference between love and in love. More times than not, your nervous system will choose a familiar hell over an unfamiliar heaven. Just remember that you have a choice. No matter what. Because while the familiar might feel safe, it can keep us stuck in situations that don't fulfill us or allow expansion. The biggest threat to low vibrational forces seeking power & control, is a high vibration. A low vibration can try and pull you down to its level, but can never fly high to meet you at yours. First Day Of School 🖤📓 @lightwork_education_ @specializedpediatric It'll happen. On a day that starts like any other, when everything you know feels easy, familiar, predictable.. something will enter your life and change everything. You won't know that it's coming, won't see the unfolding. You’ll just know this is ‘different’ from every experience you've ever had before. All you can do when it happens, is stay. Stay when you want to run. Let the unfolding reveal itself. Even when the voice in your head says this might only be fleeting and it may not be real and this may lead to nowhere at all. Stay, because there’ll be something that blooms within you. A voice that doesn't scream, it whispers. A deep, intangible knowing. Something only you can feel that understands — this.is.right. Some of the best things are going to scare you. Some of the best things are going to shake your foundation to the core.. There are obvious things, right there, impossible to ignore things. The person, opportunity, once-in-a-lifetime chance. And the subtler things. That thought that crosses your mind one day and keeps coming back. An inkling. An idea. That soft whisper. Maybe I should share my art. Maybe I should write the book. Maybe I should move to the mountains. Maybe I should go back to school, quit my job or start this new path that feels right but doesn't fit my perfectly mapped out plans. It’ll happen when you least expect it. It’ll enter your life and unravel the plans you made for yourself along the way and more times than not, brings you back to authenticity, to who you once were, those inner child desires, wants and needs without the conditioning, shaming and societal expectations. Despite your age, life resolves, and the way you ‘thought’ you had to live (because people pleasing is a thing) remember to sit with your feelings, listen to your heart, your gut and your inner child voice and do the all that makes you feel alive earth-side.. Let's get deeper. Let’s unravel.. knowledge is power 🙌🏽 Did you know there’s no biblical scripture that instructs people to wear wedding rings? It is told that the first wedding ring dates back to 3000+ years (around 4000 BC) and recorded evidence that a formal exchange of rings between two people came from ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece. The rings weren't made with metal or engraved gemstones and people held onto a belief that the rings were circular, to signify the unknown. Once a commitment is made, they might never know what the future holds. The circle is also a universal symbol with lots of meanings such as circle of life, birth, survival, death, connection, community, no beginning, no end, the self, the infinite, timelessness, Gods endless love, a common token of love (a very expensive one at times lol) that unites two beings and is a materialistic and romantic mindset from the secular world and perhaps other reasons I am unaware of. A ring is sacred to many, and to others, it may not be due to their experiences, and that's understandable. A ring, signed document, vow, all of it is incredibly and un•freaking•deniably beautiful don’t misunderstand my openness but truth is, none of it determines the quality or durability of a relationship as we are ever changing and evolving humans in an ever changing and evolving universe. Always a student in this life, despite age. To me, it feels at ease to live in this world full of goodness but also judgment & unsolicited opinions, with an open heart, open mind and view things from your perspective, no one else's. Embrace this ONCE in a lifetime experience and live how it best feels to you, let others live as they wish and pleaseee stop worrying about fitting into a social status box. You blink and its over.. there’s no sugar coating that. Life happens FAST! 💨

The power of a dad in a child’s life is unmatched 🤟🏽 I am missing mine a little extra today. And let’s just say, this grief journey is out of control. You’re smiling one second, next thing you know, you hear one word in a song and it makes you ball your eyes & heart out for what seems like forever. Tough day for this grieving daughter.. hugs always welcomed 🙃🫂 Feeling safe in the arms of a man even when he isn’t physically around is the most powerful feeling I have ever felt. Strange but, it’s like I feel my dads presence perhaps more in this spiritual experience we are living than when he was earth side. Hard to explain what my heart is trying to make sense of.. some will resonate, others won’t, that’s ok. And if you don’t understand grief, be happy. If you’ve met grief, you know… Anyhow during in-home sessions which I overly love, I strive to take parents aside individually so they embrace time with their littles on their own 🫶🏽

Sometimes the strength of parenthood is greater than natural laws 💪🏽 A mother's love is eternal. So is a father’s. And as we know, there are exceptions to every rule.. Our influence as parents does not stop when our children turn 18. It doesn't stop when they are 40. It doesn't even stop when we transcend. Becoming a parent means being in collaboration of two homes working together with the best interest of the children at heart. To work for and with your kids, not against them. Despite the situation. Our blueprints, fingerprints, experiences, gains, losses and wisdom, touch the next generation and the ones following in so many unique ways. Love has no end. Even when it ends. Love ripples to eternity.

Home isn’t a place. Home is a feeling. 🖤 To be curious, to look around in amazement, to ask with interest, to discover new things, new feelings, new ways, to learn different answers and perspectives.. I am now more than ever, a consciously and mindfully thinking adult living a life with a child's attitude & vision. When we see the world as if for the first time; through the eyes of a child, you will suddenly find that you are free. Childhood mean's simplicity. Something my heart has always craved but somehow conditioned to push aside along the way into adulthood. No one told me that I could embrace both. Glad I figured it out, tho. Creating a business from the ground up & experiencing immense heartache that comes with grief, has allowed me to dig deep into my core, the deepest parts of me. Parts I didn’t know existed and then mend a gracefully broken heart that I am slowly bringing back to life. A new life. Because of my experiences, I choose to show up & speak into existence my appreciation for the simple things in life and humanity as a whole. Adventures, emotions, feelings, experiences, opportunities, things that make me feel alive, sightseeing, travel, etc.. the many things we sometimes take for granted. Though devastating at first, Autism isn't the end of the world. On the contrary, it’s the beginning of a whole new one 💙💡🎨 Autism offers a chance for us to glimpse an awe-filled vision of the world that might otherwise pass us by. Something that every single human being should experience.. Somewhat speechless but of course, I have lots to express. Meeting Abby a decade ago when I began my photography journey and being fortunate to document this time in her life, is BEYOND humbling. As has been, watching her bloom and grow into the beauty & brains that she is. Connected and felt like home, with this family since day one. We’ve created seasonal memories & I shot the best ‘70th Tequila Party’ ever! They recently gained an Angel.. the goat and head honcho of their lives. Their grief and pain is something I hold close to my heart because I know the feeling, too well. Back to ABBY! Most of our lives operate on unconscious programming and when we experience disruptions in our lives that go against what we’re conditioned to believe, we doubt our feelings rather than be more in tune with them. You have to feel it to heal it. Don't numb or avoid your pain. Feel it. It's going to hurt. But in every moment you're feeling some type of way, you're healing and it’s going to feel so liberating. That 9-5 life ain’t my cup tea. You thrive from it? More power to ya✌🏽 ~ Headed to baseball, dark & early.. sun ain’t even up yet 🌞 Been a mini girl boss since 9 when my parents purchased two ice cream trucks driving the streets of Hialeah for years. Later, they started a home based cantina business. Best chefs ever! Young Bets started working a ’regular job’ at 16 (Kids R Us remember that children’s clothing store?) only to realize in my 30’s that it wasn’t the life I wanted to experience, it wasn’t fulfilling enough. And we get no do overs.. Because no matter what adults face during the course of their relationships, every child deserves to feel loved, seen and nurtured. They didn’t ask to come into this world but as parents, we get to choose how we show up for them and ourselves. Being a good parent is hard af, no matter what. Something borrowed. Something blue. 💙 As a parent and mother who carried four hearts (two miscarriages) fully creating and giving life to two, I can wholeheartedly say that our children do not belong to us, no matter how much we try to convince ourselves otherwise. I tried for too many years until I woke up to the reality of our human experience and what it truly means. They are a child of God that we are blessed to bring into this big universe and raise so that they too walk into the world and live a life they desire. Parenting evolves from generation to generation. We learn to unlearn and figure out culture shifts. New ways and beliefs change how raising children is approached. Each generation of parenting is a little different from the last. There’s no timeline to follow, not as children, not as adults. We should expect different things from one another, and we’re all uniquely raised so rather than bash one another for our parenting ways, let’s make it a point to inspire our youth to live a life that doesn’t only look good on the outside but feels really good on the inside. Settling and people pleasing will always be option but doesn’t have to be the one you choose. Life is all about.. Change. Experiences. Evolving. Loving. Letting go. Embrace it because it’s all an illusion, it’s all temporary. Humans are incredibly resilient 🖤 The human ability to 'bounce back' after facing adversity is quite astonishing. Humans can survive & thrive despite their experience of trauma. Some of the greatest teachers on how to navigate resilience are children. For one, my kids have taught me and continue to teach me, more than they’ll ever know. To top it off, I am blessed that my little business connects me with experiences and people that teach me so very much. A philosophy to live by.. I am a student of life, for life.. But what good is a chance, if you don’t take it.. 🖤 Maybe we’re supposed to meet the wrong one before meeting the right one. Maybe it is true that we don’t know what we have until it’s gone, but it is also true that we don’t know what we have been missing until it arrives. Maybe we should dream what we want to dream, go where we want to go, be what we want to be and with who we want to be cause we only have one life and one chance to do all the things we dream of and desire to do. Life isn’t black and white, so many shades in between. And sure, we’ll likely get plenty of chances but we never know when the last one will be. So. Take the shot. Take the risk. Follow your intuition. Do the unthinkable. Sometimes good things fall apart, so better things can fall together.

Take me away.. i wanna feel something 🖤 Isn’t everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more? I believe so. Your desires, passions, talents, opportunities, interests and most importantly instincts — are not random. They draw the blueprint of the person you are meant to be, the life you are meant to live. Desire is a roadmap to the version of you who already has what it is you want. Desire is the key. When we don't heed the call of deep desire, the things within us that genuinely compel and interest and consume and inspire us, not fleetingly, but more intensely over time — we are then met with fate's sister signal, discomfort. The universe whispers until it screams, and if we learn to listen to the small voices telling us in any given moment of every given day what we are meant to do next, we end up buried beneath all of the choices we made out of guilt, out of fear, out of a need to conform to what's around us, rather than reorient our lives to reflect what's within us. To honor our desire is also to be willing to do what it takes to make it a real, living thing. When our desire for something is strong enough, we become more and more willing to endure the discomfort often required to create it and to sustain it 💭

Many of us navigate life feeling ashamed of our 'shadow self'. The part of us that we hide from others, the part of us that we're afraid will be rejected if it's exposed, the part of us that only we know about. We often think of our shadow as being bad, sinful, or unwinnable. The hidden, dark side of the human psyche. Get out your head, we all have a dark side. Shadow work is vital and a lifelong non linear journey of inner alchemy in which we bring those parts to the surface however we choose to, to purify, heal, and integrate into yourself. Your shadow isn't something to be ashamed of or something to hate. It allows us to reflect and pivot, see where we have work to do and where we gotta give ourselves more love. One kiss ✨ For years, I’d say things like that’s a ‘broken’ friendship, relationship, marriage, etc.. til’ I realized that it’s not broken, it just doesn’t align whether early on or years of trying, it’s not meant to be, or perhaps it’s a matter of growth and outgrowing the things and people we’re conditioned or pushed to think we need and want. I am a firm believer {we can gracefully agree to disagree} that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. The good. The bad. All of it. All are Godincidences. Life happens for us, not to us. And if I am going to wholeheartedly believe in God, Jesus, Divine Universe and have faith in the mess that is life & humanity, then I humbly choose to believe that he places acquaintances, people, family, friends, strangers, community and opportunities in our path and where we need to be — at just the right time. We’re the imperfect chosen children of God. His grace and love is everlasting. His infinite mercy is incomprehensible mercy. Despite my rebel-ish ways, going against the grain, mistakes, trial & errors, sins and what not, I always find peace within as I give my pieces to our higher power without judging myself, my beliefs, my choices and that of those around me.
