Harlequin screen - Maquette 2024 I’m currently working on a new body of work for exhibition for which I’ve made some gorgeous new maquettes. This one, for the Harlequin screen, (scale 1:10) is made up of 120 hand painted and marbled tiles, joined by hundreds of brass staples. I was thinking of emulating these staples as the joining mechanism but eventually went in a different direction, as you shall soon see. The next museum we want to introduce you too is the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna. In a way that is virtually unparalleled by any other institution, the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts stands for the fruitful combination of the past with the future, something which can be clearly sensed and experienced when visiting its extensive collection, large exhibition halls, themed special exhibitions and discourse-centered program of events. Bringing together applied arts, design, architecture, and contemporary art is one of the museum’s core competencies. History: As the first museum on the Ringstraße, the MAK assumed a very special role. Right now, you might be standing in the Columned Main Hall of this building by architect Heinrich von Ferstel, completed in 1871. The MAK had already been founded eight years before, in 1863, by Rudolf von Eitelberger, the first professor of art history in Vienna. Until the completion of the building in the style of Italian Early Renaissance on the Ringstraß in 1871, the so-called Ballhaus on the Ballhausplatz served as a provisional location. EINLADUNG ZUR AUSSTELLUNG „Ein Fest der Sinne - die Porzellanwelt der Barbara Hast“ 9. - 12. Mai 2024, täglich 10 - 18 Uhr Porzellan, das Lieblingsmaterial der Keramikkünstlerin Barbara Hast, wuchs in ihren Händen zu außergewöhnlich sinnlichen Objekten. Ihre ungewöhnlichen Formen lassen in ihrer Verspieltheit und ihrem Detailreichtum das Auge lustvoll wandern. Auch ihre unglaublich herausgearbeiteten Oberflächen sind ein Fest für die Sinne und ein erquickendes haptisches Erlebnis. Ihre skurrilen Kreationen aus dem weißen Gold sind vom natürlichen Wachstumsprozess von Pflanzen und Früchten inspiriert. Schlicht und bescheiden verweisen sie auf die Liebe des 17. Jahrhunderts zur Natur und erinnern an die exotischen Kuriositäten barocker Schatzkammern. Ihre Kannen, Vasen und Dosen sind wie aus einer Zauberwelt entsprungen, mit liebevollen Details und alles überziehenden „Pickeln“ wie Barbara Hast die Schlickertupfen, die sie mit dem Malhorn einzeln auftrug, humorvoll nannte. In ihren jüngeren skulpturalen Werken schnitzte sie gewagt Facetten hinein und ließ sie zu immer größeren Gebilden wachsen. Den meisterhaften Umgang mit Porzellan hat sie sich selbst erarbeitet, und ihre Werke zeugen von ihrer unermüdlichen Ausdauer, genau das herauszuarbeiten, was sie sich vorgestellt hat. Barbara Hast verstarb im Juni 2022 im Alter von nur 59 Jahren. Ihr zu Ehren stellt der Heimatverein Dießen e.V. in den Räumen des Taubenturms während des Dießener Töpfermarktes ihre wundervollen und kraftvollen Porzellanwerke aus. Zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung am Donnerstag, 9. Mai, um 19 Uhr spricht Schnuppe von Gwinner, Kunsthistorikerin, Autorin und Bloggerin. Die Ausstellung im Taubenturm ist an allen vier Tagen des Dießener Töpfermarkts von 10 - 18 Uhr geöffnet. In 2023 Sugar Wave was exhibited in Milano at @isoladesigngallery during @milan.design.week and in Florence during @artigianatoepalazzo at the exhibition ‘Matter and Virtuosity’ organized by @artexartigianato. My abstract artworks are an explicit exploration of varying textures and their three-dimensional effects. My WAVE designs are inspired by the forms of waves and swirls in the sea. Waves represent emotions or situations beyond our control. Life is full of ups and downs, difficulties come and go, just like the waves of the sea. Znów otwieram, żwawiej może. Marmur okala mą twarz. Ciężki marmur, zimny trochę. Ciężki marmur okala pierś, Kończyny moje. W sercu trwogę znajduję tylko - mroźną trwogę. Chcę poruszyć kończynami tylko, Lecz nie mogę. Nie widzę świata, marmur tylko - To już koniec. ... Cśś... "Poczekaj chwilę" - do siebie mówię, Jak to zwykłem. VEROVALI ILI NE - Sa 'pripitomljavanjem' svilenih buba otpocelo se u Kini pre oko 6000 godina. Njihovo masovno gajenje zapoceto je pre oko 4750. godina. Naime, prema legendi, kineska kraljica Si Ling Ci prilikom setnje kroz vrt zapazila je da se na liscu duda nalaze gusenice insekata. Posmatrajuci velicanstven prizor kretanja gusenica i njihovo umotavanje i ucauravanje u fine sveze ispredene niti carica je dosla na ideju da se ove niti mogu koristiti za izradu finih tkanina. To je postalo zanimanje sirokih slojeva kineskog naroda i njime su se uglavnom bavile zene. Gajenje i razmnozavanje svilenih buba bila je drzavna tajna cije odavanje je kaznjavano smrcu. U to doba upotreba svilenih tkanina bila je ogranicena samo na vladare. Tokom vremena, deo tkanina prelazi kineske granice i dopire do ostalih delova Azije, a potom i do Sredozemlja i Evrope. Trgovci sa istoka su karavanima morali da prenesu skupocene svilene tkanine putem dugim preko 10.000 kilometara. Taj put je nazvan - put svile. U srednjem veku kilogram purpurne svile bio je skuplji od kilograma zlata.

Finally I can share this project that I had a lot of fun with! Very proud that I had the chance to do a stained glass design for @dzepubmkd . A place dedicated to serving Macedonian local drinks that you can find at a very few places and promoting Macedonian music. They work with small distilleries, even individuals, to bring some of the less known delicacies to the table. I would suggest the coffee and cherry liquor, its unbeatable! The thematic was very interested as I was suppose to integrate art nouveau with the motif of wine, rakija, beer etc, but make the main subject the god Dze. Công trình mang những nét kiến trúc và nghệ thuật trang trí đặc trưng của thế kỉ 19, bao gồm những bức bích họa lộng lẫy, vữa stucco, kính màu và các chi tiết trang trí theo phong cách Quattrocento. Trong năm 1945, tòa nhà bị hư hại nghiêm trọng do bom đạn thời chiến, phải cải tạo và xây dựng lại trên diện rộng. Năm 1961, Applied Arts đã hợp nhất cùng Picture Gallery của bảo tàng Moravian thành Moravian Gallery, trở thành bảo tàng lớn thứ nhì của Séc. Từ 2019-2021, bảo tàng tiếp tục trải qua thêm một lần trùng tu do kiến trúc sư Ivan Koleček đảm nhiệm, nhằm trở lại gần hơn với hình dáng ban đầu nhiều nhất có thể, bao gồm bảo tồn các họa tiết lịch sử và khôi phục các yếu tố trang trí bị hư hỏng mà không cần sử dụng bản sao. . What the kiln had to offer today. I am very pleased! Since i experiment a lot, lots can go wrong…and for those of you who follow along, you’ll know that lots does go wrong! So when more or less a whole kiln comes out, looking like i’d hoped, it makes me a bit more confident in my practise. That there’s a reason not to choose the easy, obvious road. All the ‘wrongs’ leads to new unexpected rights. I’ll add these to the webshop, together with other pieces, this Friday 3. of May 4pm. I hope you’ll like them as much as i do.
