I shared this skill with classmates in a collaborative experience, allowing travelers to weave their current feelings into their own stories of their adventures with creations at that moment. №42 松永 圭太 ≪蛻≫ Matsunaga Keita, "Artwork, Monuke (Ecdysis)" 陶器 ceramic H36.0×W44.0×D35.2cm 2024 蛻（もぬけ） 鋳込み成形は土を液体状の泥漿にして、型に吸水させることで器として固形化する。 これは昆虫の成長過程とよく似ている。 幼虫はさなぎの中で液体化し、再構築されて成虫となる。 私たちはこの過程を直接見ることはできない。 だからこそ残された抜け殻に私は大きなエネルギーの痕跡を感じる。 原土という素材の持つ力を、「溶かし、混ぜ、流し、固め」羽化するようにやきものに変化させたい。 そして蛻の空洞に何かを感じてもらえるようなものを作りたい。 Cast molding is the process of turning soil into a liquid mud plaster, which is then solidified as a vessel by absorbing water into the mold. This is much like the growth process of insects. The larva is liquefied in the chrysalis and then rebuilt to become an adult. We cannot see this process directly. That is why I feel traces of great energy in the shells left behind. I want to transform the power of the material, the raw soil, into something by melting, mixing, pouring, and making it hardened to become something that will be burned like a hatchling. It's raining.......on and off! One cannot complain.......the weather has been "over the moon" fabulous of late! Crows, starlings, finches, EAGLES, have been busy building nests! ( Have NOT seen a single Seagull with its beak tugging at, dragging or carrying anything that would indicate "nesting" material? ) The Ocean has been filling the beaches with huge patches of delicately laced seaweed in light pinks and dusky purples! The usual offerings of deep sea-green and black ribbons from the kelp forests, adorn the rocks and drape over the giant tree trunks; and now today ......... there's a fine pearly wash over all! A winter mist has enveloped the ocean/beaches! The chocolate pot is on the kitchen counter, and after true "Salad-Days", soup is the order for lunch! I passed by a shot I had considered posting on a day such as this! I hadn't taken the photo yet, so, here it is today!
