Bolsa, llamada a veces yika, con recipiente cuadrangular tejido en crochet de tres colores, con diseños andinos de la flor de la papa. Cinta de suspensión en telar (tejido llano/faz de urdimbre). Comprada a un señor Wichí de Embarcación (Salta, Argentina, región del Gran Chaco Sudamericano) en su puesto de la Feria de artesanías del barrio de la Recoleta en Buenos Aires en el 2006. Cuando me acerqué a ver la bolsa porque ya estaba investigando ad honorem tejidos del Chaco en el Museo Etnográfico "J.B. Ambrosetti", el señor me dijo: Ustedes quieren que nosotros sólo hagamos bolsas de chaguar pero las mujeres también hacen estas bolsas aunque a ustedes no les guste. Yo le aclaré que me había acercado por la bolsa justamente porque venía pensando el tema de aquello que para nuestras miradas supuestamente no forma parte de aquello que pensamos "tradicional" para estos pueblos, porque me interesaba no construir y transmitir una mirada estática, hegemónica de ellos, de sus textiles, porque venía pensando por qué no considerar aquellos cosas que salen y nos desafían nuestras construcciones que quizá son cómodas y nos protejen a nosotros. El señor Wichí con lo que me dijo me hizo sentir más segura sobre lo que venía pensando; de hecho, cuando presenté el proyecto final para Metodología de la Investigación de la carrera de Artes de la UBA, sobre la cuestión del cambio observado en la materialidad de los textiles Etnográficos del Gran Chaco del Museo Etnográfico de Buenos Aires (siglos XIX y 4 primeras décadas del s.XX) el profesor también me dijo que no tuviera miedo de hablar del cambio, que siempre entre las sociedades humanas unas tomaron elementos de las otras. Apropiación, e incluso formas de resistencia o simplemente porque así es. Ahora, también en esta bolsa se observa la continuidad. Entre 2007 y 2010 me preguntaba como las mujeres Qom, Pilagá, Maká, Nivaklé, Exet-Enleth tejían sus bolsas de carga. Lograba diferenciar los dos formatos de bolsas de carga del Chaco, uno era este. Lograba ver las estructuras textiles que había en su elaboración, pero no me imaginaba como lo podían hacer, así que inspirada en la arqueología experimental (jajajaja) empecé a tejer esta media bolsa para ver si la técnica que me imaginaba daba un resultado igual al de las bolsas originales. Hice el tejido central en enlazado doble interconectado (figura de 8) y luego el lateral, acomodando la orientación de los tejidos para la elaboración de la media pieza. Así logré explicar en el Catálogo de textiles del Chaco del MEAB (Asunción) como suponía que estaban creadas estás bolsas.
