[A D] How do you keep your Christmas tree safe from a toddler? Asking for a friend. I’m new to this. Last year he still wasn’t mobile. This year I naively bought one of those felt trees thinking it would be a perfect distraction. He’s not even bothered to put all the decorations on it still. Mummy’s tree (that’s what we call it) is a constant source of entertainment. Mummy stupidly owns a collection of glass baubles. Each with beautiful beads and sequins glued on. Did you know, if you bash them together not only do they make a fun noise, but the carpet gets a pretty covering of sparkles? Marvellous. Oh well. They’re not little for long. Stockings! We've never actually done stockings. Neither my husband nor I did them as kids so we've never done them when we've been together. We have stockings hanging as decorations and have presents that would probably fit in them if we tried but we've never bought presents as stocking fillers or thought to do stockings generally. For our family, it's because we did some presents on Christmas Eve (Latvian tradition) then we had some presents on Christmas Day so didn't do stocking fillers as well. Do you do stockings?
