Preflats are fairly new to the market so you may be left wondering what is the difference between them and a prefold. In basic terms a preflat is essentially a traditional flat nappy shaped with wings, so that it is easy to put on without having to fold it. Like traditional flat nappies it still requires a fastener to secure it and a cover to make it waterproof. While a prefold is usually rectangular and has thicker layers then a preflat. It can be folded into a range of folds and may require fasteners depending on the fold. It can also be folded into 3 and just sat in a cover as an insert. Again these require covers to waterproof the nappy. Sooo…….(Better late than never right 😝) let’s do a cost break down of using cloth nappies vs disposables. For part time cloth nappy use it would cost you (6-12 nappies), between $126 - $252 (approx), that’s if you choose our prints, it would be even cheaper should you buy our solid colour. For full time day use (15-24 nappies), it would cost between $315 - $503 (approx & again based on price of our printed nappies). As an example if you were to use any of the popular disposable nappy brands such as rascal & friends/huggies, and your child went through 5 nappies a day (including night) you’re looking at approximately $3640 from birth to 2 years (even more if they’re toilet training later and usually a lot more nappies are used in the new born days). And this is for one child! Add more children and this cost doubles, triples etc WHEREAS you can reuse cloth nappies if they’re well cared for, for multiple children. Continued in comments….

The owner couldn't get it out so decided to give it away. ⠀ ⠀ 🧠 The Clean Cloth Nappies Chlorine bleach Sanitise® method was used to remove the stains and get it looking new again. ⠀ ⠀ 🧽 The wine stain was treated with the Moderate stains option concentration, then the entire rug was cleaned using the Minor stains concentration with detergent and hot water, in a hired carpet cleaner. ⠀ ⠀ 🐶 Easy, quick and the red wine stain is gone! This is yours (and my 🙈) monthly reminder to clean your washing machine. Did you know you should clean your washing machine once a month!! 1. Wipe down rims, seals, rinse out detergent compartment, and removal agitator if your machine has one. 2. Remove the lint filter and clean it. 3. Clean the drum: Put on drum clean wash 90/95 C with no detergent (can use bleach but optional) OR select a long cold cycle with no detergent and add 1 cup chlorine bleach OR use commercial descaler if you have flakes on your laundry. NOTE: always read your machines manual to learn properly how to clean each of these parts of your machine. One-Size-Fits-Most (OSFM) Our nappies are designed to be one size fits most meaning they generally fit 3.5kg to 14kg. This is a guide only, depending on waist and leg size.
