Just received our Pernilla69 loungers and footrest back after being carefully packed by Mickey and shipped to London following an eBay sale. The buyer shared with us her 20-year search for this design with a black frame—most are beech. To find two chairs and a footrest left her overjoyed! Though she made a lower offer, her enthusiasm won us over. We adore seeing our pieces find loving homes, but it wasn’t long before we received a message praising Mickey’s wrapping followed by an accusation regarding the chairs’ quality. Dux indeed used synthetic fabric in their chair builds, necessary for the sling style design to prevent stretching. Despite explanations and stamped authenticity, an eBay case was opened, citing space issues and requesting a return, she gave us a different excuse for wanting to return so that’s three different claims all in messages for eBay to see, With detailed measurements and numerous photos, our listing was accurate, with a no-return policy unless misrepresented. Disappointingly, eBay accepted the return without reviewing the facts. While eBay provides great reach for selling, dealing with such instances tests our patience.
