I appreciate spring more every year, the farm waking up from winter with vibrancy and ambition. I feel lucky to exist here. A window of high pressure, bringing dry north easterly winds and sunshine, allowed us to plant a #wheat blend for @wildfarmed, #peas for @copeseeds as well as some #oats for @toats.mylk and some traditional swedish wheat for @e5bakehouse and @fermentouk. Now, warm, longer days and manageable amounts of rain see those hopeful green shoots racing out of the ground quicker than the birds can eat them. I see excitement in people too, for the warmer days to come, and I am grateful for chance encounters with walkers, and conversations @thestoreshambledon (our new favourite place) with supportive locals who, like me, can see that what we are doing here in collaboration with @southdownsnp @defrauk and @portsmouthwater is working.
