Corfe Castle railway station is a railway station located in the village of Corfe Castle, in the English county of Dorset. Originally an intermediate station on the London and South Western Railway (L&SWR) branch line from Wareham to Swanage, the line and station were closed by British Rail in 1972. There's a bench just below the carpark in Eype which I have spent many 'five minutes' resting on, midway on a walk between West Bay and Eype looking East. Of course I had also walked past the chalet many times but I hadn't really 'seen' it...... It's hard to believe but these photos were taken in January when, for just a few days, there were some beautiful cold days giving a clarity of light. It was then that the idea for the drawing project I am working on was born. In recent weeks there has been a cliff fall which I recorded but I don't want to share now, it's further along and I know the chalet will be fine for a while longer. @jamesloveridgephotography has some great aerial images of this. I would love to see inside to get a sense of place, the view is, in the second image. The chalet wears it's architectural finery on the outside and to me is comparable to the setting sun.... #eypebeachdorset #dorsetcoast #coastmagazine
