I was divorced 5 years ago after 19 years of marriage during which I didn’t know what self love was & was unaware I was bypassing my feelings. We had 2 amazing & beautiful daughters who are 18 & almost 20. My identity was being a mom. When they chose to live w/their dad exclusively at their own timing, I went through the darkest time in my life; maybe even darker than I experienced w/the divorce. I truly didn’t know who I was w/o being immersed in their lives. And I chose to believe it was best for us. I decided to start investing in myself; healing & learning to let go of my attachments. I always thought that, as in the quote in photo, people were wood, or water. It took time (and pain) to me to finally realize that we are both wood AND water: the strong wood, rooted to the earth and the water, flowing through stone to always find new paths. These two energies co-exist, as the Yin and the Yang, as inseparable and contradictory opposites. It's just about the balance, the harmony we are able to create between them. Andere mensen hadden deze versie van mij nog nooit gezien zei ze een tijdje na de fotoshoot. 🤍 Dit waren de woorden die Meike vertelde toen we het hadden over wat de fotoshoot voor haar betekent had. Ze voelde zoveel meer kracht wanneer ze haar verhaal deed op haar socials. Ze merkte veel meer respons en ook kwamen er meer klanten uit. Haar instagram heeft een boost gehad en ziet er na het gebruiken van de foto’s veel proffesioneler uit. Maar dat is natuurlijk niet het enige wat het voor haar gedaan heb. Het belangrijkste is dat Meike elke keer wanneer ze haar foto’s gebruikt weer in kan stappen in de kracht die zij voelde tijdens het maken van de foto’s. Die kracht die ze ziet en voelt van de vrouw op de beelden. Dat is de vrouw die zij is. En nu laat zij dit ook zien naar de buitenwereld. 🚀 Ik heb genoten om samen deze beelden van jou te maken. Ik heb jou zien transformeren naar de vrouw die je nu bent! De vrouw waarvan jij al voelde dat zij er was. En samen hebben we dit prachtig vast gelegd. 🤍

In a society that teaches us ‘anything you can do, I can do bleeding’… actively choosing NOT to continue pushing hard during bleeding 🩸 days is rebellion😝😏 (and a way of reclaiming your POWER🌹) Of course this isn’t to say you should take all the days off work and responsibilities during the days you’re bleeding... (I mean wouldn’t that be a nice world if we could😍) Of course we have responsibilities and commitments, and sometimes it’s not always possible to FULLYYYY slow down, and completely honour and nourish our bodies during our bleed time as we might wish. 《We Are Abundance》 我們都是人，在出生以後，會日漸因應外在的世界而調節自己。我這樣做好不好呢？會否因為說了某些話而讓人討厭？我究竟是一個怎樣的人？ 這樣的情況，在女性身上，尤其明顯。 這是因為女性腦部神經發展的根本不同。在嬰兒時期，我們已經比較有能力去識別不同的面部表情，以及與別人保持較長的眼神接觸。同時，我們亦特別有意識，去因應別人對我們的反應，而調節自己的行為。 不是說男人沒有這些部份，而是女人與別人建立溝通與關係的能力，真的特別早開發，cliche 點也要這樣說。 這是生物進化的adaptation, 去裝備好我們成為一個稱職的母親（以便回應小嬰兒透過表情與聲音傳達的各種需要），姑勿論我們最終會否成為母親也好。但這亦都讓我們自小對外界每一刻發出的訊號，非常敏感。 「媽媽這一刻沒有對着我笑，是否因為我做錯了些什麼？」 「爸爸剛才對我說話的時候非常暴躁，如果我可以更聽話，他會否再一次愛我？」 「老師沒有讚賞我，若我更努力學習，她會給我關注嗎？」 就這樣，一點一滴，我們很容易將自己的價值及被愛程度，建基於外在的人和經歷上。由於這些patterning 大多在我們七歲以前已定下來，所以要拆解，就需要回到我們的身體層面。 因為七歲以前的我們，大腦未開發，對情感也只是剛剛有意識，所以很多imprinting, 都是發生在身體與本能中，我們是unaware的。 To unwind the social masks, the emotions and the physical tension, we need to come back to the body. 在星期二的女人圈𥚃，我們看到各式各樣的imprinting, 包括內在對自己的懷疑，覺得不值得擁有美好的傷感，以及心中悲傷和迷失的感覺等等。這些都是多年以來累積的思想和情感。當我們容許身體舞動起來，就算未能用言語去解釋，其實已經可以慢慢讓這些不真實的解放出來，連結內在更真實的自己。 然後我們會發現，這個原來的自己，比緊張的思緒，比對着社會的面具，比蠶食內在的情感，都更要強大。這是一個我們可以依靠的自己。 Our true self has always been here to love and support us.
