Let me tell you a little story: In the year 1999, I caught the acting bug when I got cast as the lead in a 2k seated audience per night theater production. Always had the desire to switch to screen but didn’t really know where to begin. Did more theater over the years… fast forward to 2010, I decided to move to LA with barely a dollar to my name. Well, God had other plans. My son entered my life and kept me to the East Coast and took that last dollar 😉 . I felt trapped in a way, but at the same time I had more drive than ever to show my son that chasing your dreams is worth it, even when they might be the toughest and most unlikely to be attainable path. I started with my first commercial agent in 2013, TV/FILM agent in 2014, and have been climbing an uphill battle to get bigger and better gigs over the years, despite being over here. Yes, Covid was hard, and the strikes even more so… but, Covid spawned self taping and that which spawned more opportunities for us over here (also, ATL becoming a hotspot). More life later, another baby later, I continue to fight to keep myself in shape and obtain the roles and projects I’ve always dreamed of. These past couple projects have really made me just so thankful. 🥹 I have so far to go to feel like I’ve really accomplished what that young girl in the theater dreamt of, but I can proudly say that I now show my TWO babies what perseverance and hard work looks like.
