Eye contact aka the look of love. Where Amy and I immediately had eye contact from our first contact, Pippin was something else. It took her months to look me in the eye. Being abused in many ways her trust in people was far gone. The first time I saw her having contact with and trusting a friend was when Eva @quirbachdogs visited us in February. Pippin trusted her after three days and allowed her to cuddle her. Not only was Eva allowed to touch her, Pippin showed how much she enjoyed it. A few weeks ago something beautiful happened. My friend Paula, who is a frequent visitor here so not new to Pippin, was cuddling Pippin and as you can see on photo one Pippin was fully satisfied with it. Paula knows thรฉ cuddles spots. (Amy agrees!) Then Pippin turned her head and made deep eye contact with Paula. True contact. A look full of love. The photo nr 2 is a still of a video where I captured the moment. Amy and her mini-me โก If only she would sleep like this at night! As lots of other seniors the nights are often tough for Amy. And for me too hehehe. Amy can be restless, not knowing what she wants or needs when waking up during the night. Very desoriรซnted (yes, dementia is kicking in). Tossing and turning to find the perfect spot to sleep. All this on repeat after an hour. Thankfully Pippin sleeps through all her nightly struggles. Any other seniors with nightly shenigans out there? Last year by this time my six weeks UK with Amy entered my last week. Here's a reshare of one of my favorite three days visiting The Seven Sisters, Birling Gap and Beachy Head. We had four seasons in one day weather, from hailstorm to sunshine all over the place. Little did I know Amy wouldn't be able to go on a trip like this anymore. Her body is too fragile these days for long journeys. Maybe a trip to Kent (Hythe & Sandgate area and @mrwhippetscafe of course) is still possible. It were magical days. The Seven Sisters (excaxtly a year ago today) were more magical than I ever expected. As it wasn't busy that time of the year remember it was just Amy and me most of the walks. Bourgogne Cote dโOr Cรฉcille Tremblay 2021 โก๏ธ 92 VWP Considering the young age of both wines they were already accessible. The Meursault from pierre Morey needed a bit more time but stands his land. Tropic fruit, some nutshell and a great balance. The Bourgogne from Tremblay behaves more like a Premier Cru. Quite dense and clean. Kind of a coffee - Pinot. Surely the depth is a bit missing but for that lieu-dit it is amazing.
