DONT BE TO QUICK TO QUIT.. Are you not making the progress you want? Has the scale stopped going down and you’re thinking of giving up? AND HE’S BACK.. 💪🏼👊🏼🚀 Olly was originally on my program just over a year ago now. He was on my program for 6 months and made life-changing improvements, dropping from just shy of 90kg to around 76kg in that period. For the next 6 months using what Olly had learnt on the program, he went off and did his own thing which is fine and that is what my program is for. It’s so people can make life-changing changes, learn and continue the work forever. But Olly missed the program and so he’s back 💪🏼 🚀 Olly made good size in the time when he was off the program but he wants to dial it in to keep the size whilst leaning up. PLANNING LIKE THIS IS HOLDING YOU BACK FROM REAL GAINZ 👎🏼 People are always making plans on how to get in shape which is good. But are you only making a short-term plan or goal? Because if you are this is what is holding you back from your true potential. What I have learnt from 16 years of training myself and training lots of other people as well during that time is that anyone who has a short-term goal never reaches their true potential. The reason for this is that when you are rushing for a goal or think too short term you have to sacrifice something to get there. For example, if you want to add muscle but you are thinking short term then as a result you are going to sacrifice leanness with that. On the other hand, if you want to get shredded then again if this is a short-term goal you will sacrifice size and muscle. Being in it for the long run, not rushing, and taking your time will yield far greater results long term. This is because you don’t need to sacrifice anything. You are taking your time, adjusting in small incremental amounts which leads to no drastic changes which cause downsides to your physique. Also, the long-term approach will keep you motivated, it will stop you from falling off the wagon. Long-term thinking doesn’t mean it’s the easy approach, you are still working hard, and you are still making sacrifices but you are building day by day to get you that real dream physique you’ve always wanted. THIS IS WHY BELIEF IS EVERYTHING.. Above genetics and skill, we need belief. Belief can take someone with limited skill or ability to do some remarkable things. A lack of belief can cause someone with all the talent in the world to crumble and never reach anywhere near their full potential. If this can happen in extreme circumstances then imagine what a lack of belief or having belief in yourself can have on normal day-to-day things. It can also have extreme effects. For example, if you need and want to lose weight but you don’t believe you can do it you will either give up or not commit to doing the thing necessary for it to happen. If you were guaranteed to lose weight and look the way you wanted by doing the required things to make it happen you would do it wouldn’t you? and because it’s guaranteed and you have belief that it will happen. My point is no matter the objective, no matter what you want to achieve the first thing you need to do is believe you can do it. Once you have belief you will do whatever it takes no questions to make it happen because in your head you know it’s going to happen. This makes everything seem easier and you are more likely to achieve exactly what you want. CLIENT PROGRESS 🏆 My guy Joe was new to the gym and working out. So our goal was to get Joe familiar and comfortable in the gym and what exercises were best for each body part. Whilst also worked on daily habits outside of the gym to help with Joe’s self-development and to help Joe get the maximum out of the gym and with his progress. WHY YOU CAN’T KEEP MOTIVATED.. And this is something I see all the time. You are running before you can walk. Let me explain.. I love that you are keen to make progress but going all out before you have set some fundamentals is going to overwhelm you it’s going cause you to get stressed out and want to give up because you are not used to it. As a result, your motivation is going to come in waves. So what I am going to do is give you a blueprint on how to make changes which is going to mean you won’t need to rely on motivation at all. And then you will be able to keep improving more and more. So to start with you need to keep things simple. Have a simple workout plan to follow 3/4 gym sessions per week (do not go every day) Have an easy step count to follow depending on how many you have been doing 7-10k steps) Drink 2 litres of water per day Have a set wake-up time and set bedtime Track your nutrition for 5-6 days minimum and don’t think on the days you don’t that this means you can eat whatever you see. Once you have stuck to this for 6-8 weeks then you can move on to add extra or to make some aspects more intense as the above are now becoming more like habits. THIS WILL PREVENT YOU FROM NOT MAKING THE PROGRESS YOU DESERVE.. 🛑 I get messages on this all the time.. And it’s trying to prioritise one area of getting in shape. Let me explain.. I get messages all the time asking for a ‘just ‘meal plan’ or ‘just a workout plan’. The problem is you are never going to get the results you really want by just focusing on one area. The two need to work together toward your specific goal and where you are at. Otherwise, you are just going to make some progress and plateau as your nutrition and your workouts do not align. If are able to get the two areas working towards the same goal you will 10x your progress and your motivation will be through the roof. With my clients we assess and adjust all areas on a weekly and monthly basis. This allows me to make any corrections if necessary to speed up their results. THE NUMBER ONE REASON YOU CAN’T STAY CONSISTENT WITH THE GYM.. You are too comfortable. You are too comfortable indulging in too many bad habits. Habits which are going to make you demotivated. Habits which are going to leave you craving more and more bad things. Things may have not got bad enough to think they are the problem. But nothing stays the same and if they are not getting better then they will get worse. The time to act is now. Even if it is hard you need to think and realise what things may be like if you don’t act now. Start small, don’t go too hard too soon. Set yourself with a realistic gym routine of 3 workouts per week. Try and track and watch your food intake Monday to Friday to start with. And build from there. ANOTHER CLIENT WIN 🏆 James over the last few months has really got things rolling the more and more he got into the programs. James was looking to drop some weight as for a long time getting it down was finding tricky. MY PHYSIQUE UPDATED 📈 It has been a few months since my last physique update so I thought I would give you one. Hopefully, it can give you the motivation to keep pushing on your fitness journey. Also, it might be helpful for you to see what I am doing. Currently sitting around the 77kg mark. Eating 3100 kcals daily. Training every other day. Walking 12,000-15,000 steps daily. And sleeping on average 7 hours per night. These are my fundamentals. I don’t complicate things and do things on repeat building up good habits. I know with this system I can keep building. IF YOUR ON A DIET AND WANT TO EAT MORE.. So many people when they are on a diet are cutting calories to do so. But I don’t think a lot of people know who is doing this that if their activity level is next to nothing then just cutting calories probably isn’t going to work for them. Or if it does work it will take a very long time. If you are overweight then not only are you eating too much you probably aren’t doing enough activity either. So when people cut their calories and don’t see results it’s because they aren’t cutting their calories enough for their activity level. Its calories in (how much you are eating) calories out (how much calories your body is using) What you want to do to make sure that your calories out is as high as possible This means you will need to ensure you are moving more. Walking is going to be the easiest way to do this. Park your car further away from the shops Go on a walk on your lunch break Then on top, you need to be doing your weekly workouts and ensure to push yourself. If you can keep your activity levels high this means you are going to burn calories. Now you will have more freedom with your food as you will be burning it off quicker. Your results will be sped up just by being more active day to day. Your fitness/ activity levels go hand in hand with your nutrition. You can’t do one without the other and expect results. Don’t make dieting hard on yourself, keep active, and track your food and you will be able to lose weight quicker than you thought which will give you that freedom back asap.
