New Training Program ‼️📲⁣ ⁣ 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝟭 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝟰⁣ ⁣ 7 min AMRAPS of the following:⁣ ⁣ •Flat DB Bench Press⁣ •Pull-ups⁣ •Standing DB Lateral Raises⁣ •DB Incline Curls⁣ •Cable Rope Overhead Tricep Extensions⁣ •Hanging Knee Raises⁣ ⁣ The goal of this workout is to get as many reps as possible within the 7 minute time frame.⁣ ⁣ For the weighted movements I’ll strategically select a weight that I can do multiple sets of 8-15 reps back to back with shorter rest breaks than I typically would use.⁣ ⁣ For the bodyweight movements I’ll strategically choose a rep range that I can do repeatedly with shorter rest breaks as well.⁣ ⁣ THE 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 part of this workout is recording the amount of reps you get with each movement.⁣ ⁣ Why?⁣ ⁣ Because in order to progress week to week your goal is to beat the amount of total reps you got with the same weight, OR go up in weight and match the total reps you got the last time.⁣ ⁣ Either way, you’ll be increasing the total amount of work you’ve done, which translates to improved performance.⁣ ⁣ Here’s what I got for this lift:⁣ ⁣ •Flat DB Bench Press⁣ w/ 70 got 72 reps⁣ •Pull-ups⁣ got 48 reps⁣ •Standing DB Lateral Raises⁣ w/ 27.5 got 90 reps⁣ •DB Incline Curls⁣ w/ 27.5 got 57 reps⁣ •Cable Rope Overhead Tricep Extensions⁣ w/ 33lb got 80 reps⁣ •Hanging Knee Raises⁣ got 70 reps⁣ ⁣ #trainingprogram #workoutroutine #workoutroutines #gymroutine #gymroutines #strengthtraining #personaltrainer #onlinefitnesscoach #onlinefitnesscoaching #onlinefitnesstrainer #gymplan #fitnessroutine #fitness #gym #gymrat

AND HE’S BACK.. 💪🏼👊🏼🚀 Olly was originally on my program just over a year ago now. He was on my program for 6 months and made life-changing improvements, dropping from just shy of 90kg to around 76kg in that period. For the next 6 months using what Olly had learnt on the program, he went off and did his own thing which is fine and that is what my program is for. It’s so people can make life-changing changes, learn and continue the work forever. But Olly missed the program and so he’s back 💪🏼 🚀 Olly made good size in the time when he was off the program but he wants to dial it in to keep the size whilst leaning up. So now that is what we are working on. 3 months into his second stint and he is making great progress. Keep an eye out for what’s next with Olly. It’s great to have him back. When it comes to weight loss the simpler you make it, the easier it will be. You don’t need to do anything special. Stop jumping from diet to diet. Stop wasting your money on supplements you don’t need. Stop giving up every time you have a bad day! We aren’t perfect and we’re not robots! Do you have a clear goal you want to achieve and a plan to get you there 👊👊👊 One of the biggest things getting in people's way is not actually having a clear goal. People say I want to lose fat. Get fitter and stronger. Gain muscle. Look more toned. Be more mobile ect ect. These are all amazing goals but at times it can be way to many to achieve at once. Its a bit like saying I want to learn spanish. Write a book. Learn piano and win the ryder cup. Thats why most people fail in the end and it's something I try to avoid with my clients. We discuss what is there absolute most important goal. Have a clear vision and time line on ow long its going to take. Set out long term and short term goals so we have deadlines to make. We want to be X by next week so we are X by the end of the month. We put together a plan on how to reach that goal the simplest possible way and give the support to reach that goal. PLANNING LIKE THIS IS HOLDING YOU BACK FROM REAL GAINZ 👎🏼 People are always making plans on how to get in shape which is good. But are you only making a short-term plan or goal? Because if you are this is what is holding you back from your true potential. What I have learnt from 16 years of training myself and training lots of other people as well during that time is that anyone who has a short-term goal never reaches their true potential. The reason for this is that when you are rushing for a goal or think too short term you have to sacrifice something to get there. For example, if you want to add muscle but you are thinking short term then as a result you are going to sacrifice leanness with that. On the other hand, if you want to get shredded then again if this is a short-term goal you will sacrifice size and muscle. Being in it for the long run, not rushing, and taking your time will yield far greater results long term. This is because you don’t need to sacrifice anything. You are taking your time, adjusting in small incremental amounts which leads to no drastic changes which cause downsides to your physique. Also, the long-term approach will keep you motivated, it will stop you from falling off the wagon. Long-term thinking doesn’t mean it’s the easy approach, you are still working hard, and you are still making sacrifices but you are building day by day to get you that real dream physique you’ve always wanted. Working harder than ever and not getting the results you want can feel defeating. You don’t need to be in the gym every day. You don’t have to do body splits either.  Common reasons for not progressing are: Too much training, not enough recovery (nutrition/rest etc) Not enough training/stimulus Poor planning and lacking direction Steps on how to solve this: 1. Identify your goal - and the purpose behind it 2. How much time do you have to work on said goal - honestly 3. Get a plan and stick to it - it takes more time to figure it out on the fly 4. Plan for sleep, rest, nutrition for recovery, fueling etc. 5. Mindset: develop mastery (doing something) rather than all or nothing Which one of these 5 steps do you need to focus on right now? Changing habits is the key to long lasting weight loss Getting those new habits to stick is what's tough and the reason why so many people struggle What I've noticed is that people tend to look for other ways to lose weight without having to make these fundamental habit changes Little challenges, detoxes, products etc are all good ways of jumpstarting the process... Then I draw a blank. Think you tell I'm not really a gym girl 🤣 but I need to do this as stick to it. For my health, both physical and mental, and to help towards my progress at hoop @northernaerialartsacademy_ This will be added to and changed to suit. It got 2 weeks to tweak it. Having a busy schedule doesn’t mean that you can’t move towards your goals You don’t need to go to the gym 5 x a week to make progress The mistake most people make when starting their health & fitness journey is setting the bar too high. There is no point in setting yourself unrealistic targets because it’s unlikely you’re going to meet them It’s much more beneficial to set yourself smaller realistic goals to work towards that you can stick to 100% and then if you feel like you want to, you can continue to build from there Swipe and save for a 2 day workout split that involves 2 x 45 minute gym sessions per week and completing a daily 20 minute walk to help you work towards a step target If you follow this plan CONSISTENTLY for 4-12 weeks alongside a balanced diet, I can guarantee you will see results 💪🏼 Don’t over complicate things! Strength training is important whether you’re looking to lose fat, build muscle or just be in better physical health overall. Even if you’re making some mistakes while you’re at the gym, you’re way ahead of where you’d be if you had just stayed at home watching TV. But.. You’d rather have that valuable time used in the most effective way and get the best results, right? We’ve all been guilty of at least one of these mistakes 1️⃣Not warming up: To get the most out of your workout, a good warm up is key No, I don’t mean 20+ mins of cardio and a bunch of static stretches nor do I mean doing 3 reps with the bar. A few minutes of light cardio and some dynamic stretching or mobility drills is perfect! 2️⃣Just winging it: If you’re just going to the gym and deciding what you’ll do based on how you feel, you’ll continuously do the exercises you like and neglect the ones you don’t (often the ones you SHOULD be doing) Plus you’ll have no way of knowing if you’re actually improving if you’re just doing random workouts all the time 3️⃣Not focusing on form: If you’re not doing your exercises properly your results will suffer and you won’t be getting the most out of your workout - no one wants to waste time! 4️⃣Improper rest times: It could be that you rush through your workout taking hardly any rest at all OR you’re getting sidetracked on your phone and taking 15 mins between sets.
