A highland adventure to remember 🏴 @linkshousedornoch was the perfect base for my travels this week. Dornoch itself is really sweet, and Links House is right in the heart of it (and only a few minutes walk to the beach). Links House is full of highland charm and quiet luxury, but it’s the details that really mattered - the chocolates next to the bed at turndown service, the whisky old fashioned that greets you when you enter your room… if you want to be treated like royalty, this really isn’t too far off. There were few jeeps only but all left and our driver Sharukh was waiting for us to enter as the last jeep of morning Safari. However, we started the safari. After 5 minutes drive, Sharukh stopped the car on the side of a dead log and started trying to observe the possible calls and other hints to track the leopard. It was a beautiful morning with little mist and lots of peace. We could only hear the birds talking to each other. My boys. My sweet, sweet boys ❤️ Harry is 3 months old today and I am not okay. Russell seems to grow taller everyday. Gosh, they’re both growing so fast😭 Time is a thief. Today has been a rough one for me. And I don’t usually post things likes this, but man, I have been struggling today. I’m thankful for God’s unending grace. I would be a mess without it! I was chatting with my dear friend today, and something she reminded me of is that I can’t always do everything all the time. And oof. I needed to hear that. Dean is currently working overnights, which means he sleeps during the daytime. Which has been tough! Russell has been having bad dreams a lot lately, and Harry wakes up every couple hours to feed. Y’all, I’m EXHAUSTED. Sleep deprivation is no joke. It caught up with me today and I kept getting frustrated with myself for needing to rest. But sometimes, that’s what we need to do. Not only was I reminded of that from my friend, but also from reading in God’s Word. Especially today, I just need to rest and recharge.
