There are some books by this author that I've loved but this was unfortunately was not my favorite. 》WHAT I LIKED: ♡Although it had a great premise and a good start, more of the time was spent on random conversations and banter between the two main characters than on objecting to weddings as I would have liked. ♡ I have to admit that their way of thinking about love and relationships was relatable in many ways, and quite entertaining. But unfortunately, besides that, nothing much happened for most of the book. I would have liked a little more depth. ♡And, in my opinion, the ending could have been more realistic, considering the type of characters they were. ◇◇◇Overall, it was a fun read about characters with unique points of view. Han habido algunos libros de esta autora que me han gustado, pero este no ha sido mi favorito. ♡Aunque la premisa era buena y tuvo un buen comienzo, hubo más conversaciones y bromas entre los dos personajes principales que oponerse a bodas como me hubiera gustado. ♡Aunque la forma de pensar de los personajes sobre el amor y las relaciones era entretenida, y admito que me pude identificar un poco con eso, desafortunadamente, no pasó mucho durante la mayor parte del libro. Me hubiera gustado más profundidad. ♡Y, en mi opinión, el final pudo haber sido más realista, considerando el tipo de personajes que eran. ◇◇En general, fue una lectura divertida sobre personajes con puntos de vista únicos. Léelo si quieres muchas bromas y una lectura ligera.

Abby Jimenez has become one of my favorite romance authors ever. The books I've read by her are awesome and this was not the exception! 》WHAT I LIKED: ▪︎The two main characters were very well written, It was impossible not to root for them from the very beginning. ▪︎The MMC‘s, initial quirkiness, particularly his use of dating surveys, was my favorite part of his personality. It was nice to see him go to such lengths for her from the moment he met her. ▪︎I liked how the relationship between the FMC and her toxic mother added depth to the story. The author handled their issues with sensitivity, providing a realistic portrayal of how family relationships can impact personal life. ▪︎And the ending!! It almost made me cry. ♡Overall, It’s a story that will make you laugh, make you think, and may even bring a tear to your eye. BOOK REVIEW ♡♡♡ WHAT THE RIVER KNOWS Author: Isabel Ibañez Genre: Historical Fantasy Format: Audiobook Pub: Oct. 31, 2023 Read: March 2024 ⭐⭐⭐.5 This book is the first part of the duology Secrets of the Nile. See slide two to read general thoughts. Besides that... ▪︎I felt like it took a while for the action and adventure to begin. That made it seem longer than necessary. ▪︎Due to the previous problem, reading it didn't work for me, but curiously the audiobook did. ▪︎The romance was ok. Not great, but ok. The FMC was pining for the guy from the beginning and I still can't understand why. I also can't understand why he was interested in her. Probably just the good looks in both cases. ▪︎The mystery part was ok too. But all the drama could have been avoided if some characters had not kept unnecessary secrets. However, there would be no book if that had happened. ▪︎One of my biggest problems was how naive and trusting she was all the time. And she never seemed to learn... ▪︎There was a traumatic scene that left me in complete shock. If you read it, you'll know what I'm talking about. ☆Even though I'm giving it 3.5 stars, the overall adventure and Egyptian setting were enjoyable. And also thanks to the cliffhanger, I think I'll read the next book. ............................................................... 》1❓: Have you read books about adventure? Any rec? I have to confess: I had not read any books by this author until now. So although many say they didn't like this one as much as the previous ones, I did enjoy it! 》WHAT I LIKED ▪︎In the first part, we meet the three main characters, through the point of view of two of them. They all have a lot of issues, so it's impossible to know what they will do next. ▪︎Almost everything happens in high school. There is a lot of drama, bullying, and even a cringey romance between the handsome English teacher and his student. All of that made it quite entertaining. ▪︎But the last part was the best! Although I could predict one thing, the rest took me completely by surprise. It was one plot twist after another. And I still can't believe the ending!!! ♤So it was a fun psychological thriller with unbelievable plot twists. If you like this kind of thriller, you should read it! The narrator was great too. ............................................................... 》❓: Have you ever had a crush on your teacher or somene much older than you? Or 》❓Do you like romances with an age gap? In general both books were awesome! Alex Michaelides has a way with words, and his books are easy to read, but at the same time full of suspense. If you like dark academia, you better read The Maidens. If you want a thriller with a unique plot, then read The Fury. Both had unexpected plot twists. I enjoyed them both. But my favorite was The Maidens. BOOK REVIEW ▪︎ Only if you're Lucky Author: Stacy Willingham Genre: Thriller Published: January 16, 2024 Read: February 2024 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ➡️ Swipe to see ratings, thoughts and blurb! It had similar vibes to Ruth Ware's The It Girl, a dark academia thriller, that I loved reading. I also enjoyed this author's previous books, so I couldn't wait to read this one! Having said that, it was quite different from her previous books. Not necessarily in a bad way, just different. The details from the past related to the former friend (who died, by the way) slowed down the story for me. The FMC was always remembering her and comparing her to her new friend. It got a bit repetitive for me. But... I really was not expecting the ending. It took me by surprise, and because of that, I'm giving it four stars. Es una historia que se puede leer super rápido, los capítulos son cortos y fáciles de comprender, además de tener esa chispa de envolverte a través de sus líneas. Realmente me obsesione con esta historia, si de por sí, todos los libros no son iguales, está historia está fuera de este mundo. 🌿 Todo inicia cuando nuestra protagonista, Rose, decide aceptar la invitación de su amiga, Hannah y juntas se dirigen hacia una fiesta tratando de distraerse un poco de su vida universitaria. Hannah se pasa de copas y termina teniendo relaciones con un desconocido en un baño. Trayendo consigo, una pequeña sorpresa. 🦋 A pesar de que la vida de Rose cambiaría para siempre, desde el principio hasta el final, supo tomar todas las situaciones de una forma correcta y positiva. Nunca fue un personaje que se desespero o actuó por impulso. Se convirtió en una hermosa madre que lucharía por su bebé, así fuera sola. 🌿 Por otro lado tenemos a Aarón, nuestro papá luchador. Aaron es un jugador de hockey, estudia y aspira llegar a las grandes ligas. No es el típico hombre que estaba acostumbrada a leer. Es tierno, amoroso, incluso puedo decir que algo tímido, pero no quita todas esas bellas cualidades que terminaron enamorando a Rose. 🦋 La relación que al final construyeron, me pareció lo más hermoso que he leído. And like the previous book, it was probably my favorite part. ▪︎Since Roman was a prisoner of Dacre and lost his memories, there was a lot at stake, and that added tension to the story so that I couldn't put the book down. ▪︎Although there were many adventures and action, it was not as much as in Divine Rivals. But it still kept me entertained from start to finish. ▪︎The ending was unexpected and the perfect conclusion. Which of the two books did I like more? I have to admit it was Divine Rivals. But overall, I loved this series! It has become one of my favorites! Author: Rebecca Yarros Genre: New Adult fantasy Pub: Nov. 7, 2023 Read: November 2023 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Many of you are already saying a lot of things about this book, so I'll be brief... kind of. Spoiler free review!!! . 》WHAT I LIKED: ▪︎How entertaining, fast paced and action packed it was. ▪︎Xaden kept surprising me in every possible way. ▪︎The dragons and gryphons. ▪︎The side characters. ▪︎A balanced amount of descriptions and information (perfect for non fantasy readers like me). . 》WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: ▪︎The writing was okay, but there were some parts where I felt more editing was needed. For example, the word 'Gods' was repeated a million times and by many characters. (I was like, 'Gods, that phrase again?!') ▪︎It was long. I'm not necessarily complaining, but I only had 14 days to finish it before returning it to the library, so it was a little stressful, but that's on me. If we have that in common, you're warned. ▪︎It was hard to remember so many new names. ▪︎It ended on a cliffhanger. Now I'll have to wait a long time before I find out what on earth will happen. •Me alegro de que mi madre haya muerto• Tengo tantas cosas que decir de este libro que no encuentro las palabras, pero allá voy. Sinceramente le tenía miedo, pero miedo de verdad a este libro por todo lo que había escuchado de él, pensaba que iba a destruirme ya que toca ciertos temas que podrían abrir heridas del pasado. ¿Me hizo sentirme identificada? Si, pero es ese libro que te hace sentir que no estás leyendo, si no tomando un café con una amiga mientras se desahoga. Si es cierto que me pasé prácticamente todo el libro queriendo abrazarla, ves a la pequeña Jennette con esos pensamientos y cargas emocionales que es duro, además que no se corta un pelo a la hora de hablar y expresarse. Es una lectura muy ligera a pesar de tener más de 400 páginas, yo creo recordar que me lo leí en pocos días. TAG WARNING: Trastornos alimenticios, consumo de drogas, alcohol, abusos, entre otros. Por eso digo que si sois sensibles a ciertos temas por vuestras vivencias o vivencias cercanas pensároslo muy bien, porque es MUY explícito y podría haceros reabrir heridas, pero yo tiendo a ser bastante sensible y lo llevé bien, con mucha pena de la pobre Jennette pero aún así lo recomiendo muchísimo porque podemos ver el daño que queriendo o sin quererlo pueden hacernos las personas que nos rodean y como podemos llegar a romantizarlo para protegernos siendo a la larga incluso peor.
