I recently got a new iPhone after being a bit android for years! And a load of old photos keep popping up as memories in some sort of … cloud… photo.. something something. It’s so lovely!! This is one of the very first tests I ever did for @laurenormefilms Creepy Pasta Salad!! Look Lauren!!! It’s all the old concept art and boards!! I was trying to convince Lauren to use Moho for the film, TO SAVE MONEY, but also maybe mostly so I could test a million theories and figure out new ways to use it. This was a parallax background test, where the street that runs away from camera ever so slightly changed perspective… without needed to chop all the artwork up and making loads of different layers move. And without making it 3D!! It’s using Moho’s mesh system ❤️ so simple, but I thought well effective. The film is online and you can watch it all, the street totally changed and we filled it full of people and shoppers going about their day! Creepy Pasta Salad went on to become a Vimeo Staff Pick, was BAFTA SHORTLISTED, screened at a ton of festivals, and remains one of my fave memories. Year 3 students being introduced to camera accessories - the photos show them practising on a large shoulder rig. We also looked at sliders and gimbals. Today's #Masterclass for L6 Filmmaking: Production was with @gracehmahony , an art director, assistant art director and draftsperson who works across film, television and animation. Most recently Grace finished art directing the @paramountplusuk Romcom The Road Trip, prior to that, she was art director on live action trailer for BAFTA winning video game Vampire Survivors, alongside the team at We Are Reach. She also worked as Assistant Art Director on @Aardman 's Chicken Run 2 and up-coming Wallace & Gromit, @starzplay_pk 's Becoming Elizabeth for @amazonprime and @ITV 's McDonald and Dodds amongst many others.
