Dekaâs and Tekkers đȘđŒ One of my favourite thingâs about being involved in the race community, is support. The support I get to give, like the Deka strong sim on camp - I absolutely loved being the judge for people, and cheering them on and seeing them smash it. (For some their first ever go at a Deka đđŒ). The support I received, whether it be a cheer, a fist bump or help with technique and form on some of the sessions in the gym. Mon 15 Apr: Get better at balance, hanging/swinging, and darts đŻ This is the experience that people come to @mikesgymmarbella for! It is a playground with broadly four sections: i) cardio running up and down hills, using ropes etc. important not to blow out here! ii) agility and balance (yup! rubbish at that!) iii) strength and grit - rope climbs, rings, swings as well iv) suicide hill with log carries đ± Burpees as a forfeit for any obstacle not attempted - I stopped counting at 200 đ„” only to find that I can't hit a dartboard to save my life - and put lives at risk (sorry @l_thommo) - and got another 120 although they were low/no impact hand to floors by this pointđ Thank you to @shannonbrown_fitness and your dad (he caught me a couple of times!), @junior_56408 for looking out for me the whole way, and @lindsay_jones6 for being our official photographer and getting me through the suicide hills - you are an absolute legend to keep going and do what you could with your injury â€ïž Think it's all over?? Nope! Lunch and some lounging and we were back in the gym for a Hyrox PFT completed as doubles. Grit, determination, camaraderie, and heaps of fun! He was super generous with his time and shared his rope management technique for the sled pull - my time improved in Hyrox - and 'grounded' me on the balance beam. Our first Marbella Hyrox Training Camp was an amazing experience. For the camps to work, it needs a great team! Thatâs something we definitely had. 4 days worth of training, hiking, recovery strategies, nutrition strategies, overcoming fears and laughter! Hyrox Malaga was incredible. 2 podium finishes and huge PBâs for the team! We make sure our clients are always improving and the results at Malaga Hyrox showed this! @mikesgymmarbella never disappoints. That Assault Course is just something else. What an experience, and a fantastic way to develop our clients mental strength. As much as Iâm proud of my commitment & progress to trying to be the best that I can be, the most important thing Iâve tried to maintain is the pure joy of the whole process. Okay, sjukt obekvĂ€mt att lĂ€gga upp en bild som dennađ MENâŠ.. MĂ„nga kommentarer om min vikt⊠Glöm nu inte att vikten inte Ă€r annat Ă€n ETT mĂ€t-verktyg av flera. MĂ„tt och fettprocent spelar verkligen in. 1 kg Ă€r alltid 1 kg, oavsett om det Ă€r fett eller muskler. Jag kommer att skriva ett separat blogginlĂ€gg om just det. Men , lĂ„ng historia kort 1 kg muskler Ă€r kompaktare/ fastare och tar mindre plats, Ă€n 1 kg fett som blir lösare/bredare Ă€n muskler đȘđ» SĂ„ du blir alltsĂ„ tightare och mindre i omfĂ„ng om du har mer muskler Ă€n fett. Men som sagt, lĂ€ngre inlĂ€gg om det kommer. Jag vĂ€gde in mig pĂ„ 91.2 kg. En tung vikt för att vara jag, ca 28-30 kg tyngre Ă€n min ânormalviktâ. Jag kĂ€nde inte igen mig sjĂ€lv, min kropp eller hur jag mĂ„dde. Efter ett Ă„r av olika sjukdoms situationer, en underproduktion av sköldkörtel och infasning av mediciner. I kombination av stillasittande , liggande lĂ€ge i ca 3 mĂ„nader varav flera veckor pĂ„ sjukhus. Nu, sedan min förra resa hĂ€r nere pĂ„ Mikes, fram tills nu, sĂ„ har jag gĂ„tt ner 11.5 kg đȘđ» Det ĂR ett delmĂ„l! Jag Ă€r ungefĂ€r halvvĂ€gs in i min process. Men jag tar ingenting för givet utan Ă€r dagligen tacksam för att kroppen svarar och att jag mĂ„r sĂ„ pass bra som jag gör, trots omstĂ€ndigheter. Jag Ă€r galet stolt över mig sjĂ€lv đ„đđ» och det Ă€r nĂ„gonting jag dagligen pĂ„minner mina klienter omâŠ. Att vĂ„ga sĂ€ga att man Ă€r stolt över sig sjĂ€lv! Vad jag vill komma fram till och förmedlaâŠ. - Ingenting Ă€r omöjligt, sĂ„ lĂ€nge du tror pĂ„ dig sjĂ€lv! Jag hade och har fortfarande oddsen emot mig. En annorlunda resa pĂ„ @mikesgymmarbella denna gĂ„ng âŠ. Att vara hĂ€r helt ensam, nĂ€stan en mĂ„nad kĂ€nns jĂ€tte konstigt. Extremt svĂ„rt emellanĂ„t, men SĂ nyttigt för mig just nu đđ» Jag har kört pĂ„ stenhĂ„rt, utifrĂ„n mig. SĂ„@just nu Ă€r kroppen ganska trött đ Denna gĂ„ngen utgĂ„ngslĂ€ge rehab. Jag har legat pĂ„ en hĂ„rfin grĂ€ns till att tippa över min max prestation. Utmaningen i mitt fall nĂ€r man bl.a. har en skadat nervsystem Ă€r inte gĂ„ över grĂ€nsen och krascha helt. Men samtidigt behöver man komma sĂ„ nĂ€ra som möjligt, för att utvecklas och balansera upp obalansen đ Det har tagit mig ca 6 mĂ„nader att komma hit. DĂ€r jag ligger i prestation nu. 6 lĂ„nga mĂ„nader med framsteg, bakslagâŠ. Ingen spikrak resa⊠Utan en riktig bergodalbana đą MEN, Jag njuter av varje steg. Jag förlikar mig med smĂ€rtan⊠kör Ă€ndĂ„.
