My first cook on my new @kamadobono.official from @kamadokings and I went from some spare ribs from @nick.browns.butchers … These tasted amazing, one rubbed in @tubbytoms Bone Sucker Rub and the other in @thesmokeycarter Pitmaster BBQ Rub… To be fair I spent a bit of time sorting out the temperature as I got used to the vents and I made the decision to not put them back on the grill after the wrap stage (4 hours in) as they were almost falling off the bone at this point. Temp a bit too high…. Great smoky flavour though and tender juicy ribs, for a first attempt, not too shabby. As I get more and more used to the Kamado I’m sure I’ll get the hang of controlling the temp better from the start!

This afternoon I was inspired by my cousin to make Greek Stuffed Chicken, using my @weberuk Mastertouch and Dutch Oven to cook outside in the sun! The chicken was stuffed with a mixture of bread, feta cheese, garlic, tomatoes, oregano and parsley…. This was roasted for about an hour at about 190°C before adding orzo and chicken stock and cooking for a further 20 mins. (You could easily do this in the oven too if you wanted.) The dish was finished with some herbs and served with a chargrilled red pepper salad. “Once upon a time, the world was flat”… on Saturday, my partner and I broke up. On Valentine’s Day, I shared how honored I have felt to have experienced that soulmate energy of someone and somebody who was willing to be vulnerable with me. Both are valuable, both are life altering. And I think, despite the discomfort and uncertainty, it’s important to share the reality. Because the problem we create in relationship so often, is believing it becomes linear. We may argue that it doesn’t and we know that!!
