Sometimes the people we care for most and love inflict wounds on us that makes us hold our hearts hostage. Instead of trying to find ways of releasing the hurt we search endlessly for reasons to protect ourselves behind walls of fear and doubt. Breaking habits that no longer serves us and avoiding temptation can seem like a losing battle. The reason it feels that way is because of the resistance we have created towards what we don’t want. What we resist persist, that’s why diets fail, lack of money etc. The things we want most becomes further and further away because of our fears and our approach to life, for example think about dieting you start it, things are going great you lose a few pounds and then fear creeps in, your focus shifts to I don’t want to gain it back instead of how you feel in the moment. End result you lose motivation quit the diet gain it all back and more. It’s easier to accomplish your goals if you surrender, focus on feeling good and embrace why you want something, there is less resistance to your why instead of trying figure out every step of how it will happen and what it will look like.
