Heck, not even Spring yet up here in NH. But tonight it was all about the round…round shrimp cakes, and all those round sauce dots. Shrimp cakes. Blitzed up some shrimp. Added an egg yolk, some chopped parsley, green onion, vitamin H @hellmannsmayonnaise , @pogospeppers OG sauce, curry powder, salt and pepp. Dusted in breadcrumb, chilled in fridge, and shallow fried in pan. Crispy outside, soft, shrimpy, warm spicy inside. Cakes on top of some thin sliced purple cabbage that i sautéed in olive oil, a little Vitamin B, and garlic. Healthy squeeze of meyer lemon. Don’t sleep on cabbage. Sneaky sneaky cabbage. It’s versatile. It takes to flavors. And from what i gather, it’s actually good for you? Who knew? Not me, cuz i spent most of my life avoiding it, like a normal person. Weird. Sauces! Yellow sauce was boss. Took the peeled shrimp shells and cooked them in some olive oil with garlic, ginger, and a little tomato paste. Deglazed pan with some dry white wine. Reduced wine, added a chopped yellow tomato, some shrimp stock, and curry powder. Let this bubble til tomato was soft. Removed shrimp shells, blitzed, and strained. Another squeeze of meyer lemon. This was great. Really great. Can’t say this enough…DO NOT throw away shrimp shells…use them for a sauce or stock! Do that and then you can throw them away. I wish i had some of those whole shrimp…the heads would have taken this sauce to another level. Oh well. Next time. White sauce of more Vitamin H, greek yogurt, lime juice and zest. I was super happy with this dish. @smuttynosebeer Finestkind back. This bitter IPA was a perfy on this board. And at $10 for a 4pk of 16oz cans?…derp. You should be doing this beer…but you gotta like the bitter IPAs…this one ain’t an East Coast…even tho it’s from East Coast…but it’s an OG. So yeah. Con dos àlbums ya editados debajo del brazo, titulados "Time In Coma", y "Asynapse" y cumpliendo ya con unos doce años de actividad como grupo a sus espaldas , Exessus son una muy digna banda de Thrash Metal con reminiscèncias de Rock progresivo y un tanto melódico también, que recuerdan a grupos como Metallica, Trivium, , Pantera , o en ocasiones me han recordado a Opeth también, o a los Annihilator. Estuvieron fantásticos, deleitaron y de que manera con su fuerza y destreza que imprimian al tocar su potente Trash Metal clásico Unos momentos espectaculares de la noche fué cuando ellos mismos organizaron #pogos a mitad de pista que mezclados con la ingestión de cervezas a tuti plen hacian una combinación perfecta que hacía que el público disfrutara de lo lindo como en temazos como por ejemplo "Oblivion" y que lograron como todo su repertorio de buenas canciones en general que la Banda diera un concierto super intenso y cañero. Bolazo se marcaron esta gran banda de Trash Metal barcelonesa.
