Favorite #seniorsunday post ever. First know, that we have a daughter who loves Jesus. I talk a lot about her accomplishments. Everyone knows about her conquests on the hardwood, her accomplishments in the classroom, and overall how proud I am of all that she is. While all of that is a big part of who she is, it’s her heart that brings me to my knees. Tonight, we watched as our oldest brought the message that God put on her heart to her youth group. She spoke on the story of Zacchaeus and related it the idea that we don’t need to climb a tree to see Jesus or for him to see us. She told her friends, and all that would listen, that Jesus would meet them where they were and that they were not alone. She told them that they were loved and that Jesus would be there to take them by the hand and that she would be there to hold their hand as well. This is our daughter—our senior. Yes, she’s a baller. She’s extremely smart. She’s so many things that we are so proud of. But this—this says so much about who she is. 💜 Did you know April is C-Section Awareness month? 💚 I think I experienced almost all combinations of labour and births with my 3 girls...well except the nice gentle calm birth I was hoping for... 😂 💜 I had an emergency c-section with my eldest and that was a shock to the system. 0/10 do not recommend 💚 So I wanted a 'natural' birth with my second. That was all kinds of horrendous. 0/10 do not recommend 💜 So, third time lucky (or so I thought) I opted for an elective section. She had other plans and came so fast I never made it to theatre. 0/10 do not recommend 😂 💚 So to sum up, in my experience, it does not matter what type of birth you have. It's all horrendous. Maybe I'll try again...fourth time's a charm? 😂 Jokes! Absolutely not!! 💜 Though I'd love to hear from someone who has had a lovely birth!
