FUN FACT FRIDAY! I’ve had this horrible smear on my car windscreen for AGES! Literally AGES! It came from a windscreen car phone holder that I removed when I bought the car and have NEVER gotten around to removing the smear! Something I never remember to do, until now! And guess how easy it was to do and what I used??? Lemongrass essential oil! That shit really removes anything sticky, including nail polish 💅🏻 yes! Nail polish!!! So after approx 3years, I finally got round to cleaning the little corner of my windscreen with a few drops of lemongrass essential oil on a cloth and voila! Gone! Just like that. Only seconds later. Why that took me years, I do not know! 😜 Done now! Now to add a few drops of lemongrass to my vacuum cleaner vent and voila, the house is clean and smells amazing at the same time. Tune in Tuesday I’ve got sore joints! Dam it all! I’m convinced this is a peri-menopausal symptom. The decline in estrogen in my body is causing joint immobility and swelling in my hands. Grrrr! So to combat this, I’m take 2 of each of these daily. Turmeric to aid in the warming of my joints and joint suppleness and Copaiba to ease the discomfort. Month of May Day 29 Meditation - Group / Whanau Meditation Join together with your Tamariki, your friends and collectively meditate. You may choose to be comfortable in Shavasana. Alternatively sit together comfortably. Deepen your breaths together and stay focused on your breath as you relax and follow the flow of your breath, in and out. Set a timer for 15minutes as it’ll take a few moments to settle and get everyone calm and quiet. Then the remainder ten minutes be still, be quiet and just listen to your breath. Observe your thoughts as they come and go. Let go of any judgement and just return your mind to your breath. When you reawaken, take some time to ask each other to share their experiences. Month of May Day 27 Meditation - activating the Solar Plexus for self confidence building In a seated comfortable position allow your hands to rest over your lower belly, the Center of your solar plexus chakra (manipura). Manipura is the source of self-esteem, confidence and personal empowerment. Connecting to this space in our bodies naturally builds confidence. Do a comfortable square breathing technique. Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Focus on simple achievements you make each and everyday. It could be as simple as getting out of bed. Slowly move onto more challenging tasks and notice the sense of empowerment and achievement as your tasks get harder. Stay positive. Stay aware of how you are feeling. Month of May Day 26 Meditation - Squeeze and Release On your back, if you wish, even in bed, I sometimes practice this when already under the covers. Of course it’s snuggly but more effective on the floor. Take your time to squeeze and release each and every muscle in your body. Aim to squeeze your entire body 3x. Hold the squeeze for as long as you feel the hold needs to be: 5-15seconds, maybe longer? Release with an exhale and completely rest, allowing all muscles to soften and relax.
