Do dogs like Tofu? You bet Lex does 🐶 🤤 I made a post-workout - veggie and Tofu scramble with GF gnocchi . . . Lex was all over experimenting and trying a bit (yes it’s safe for dogs) Eating more plant based proteins and experimenting with veggies; has helped me actually eat veggies; from spending my entire life only ever eating carrots and broccoli (truth) to now enjoying what tasty recipes I can make and enjoy 😋 I was the queen of fussy eating; picking out onions from meals, asking for no side salad - even if it came with a meal because I didn’t like it on my plate 😳 I am 3 weeks into making better food choices and eating well and I’m feeling wonderful again 🥳 🌈 No bloat 🌈 Happy and regular digestive system 🚽 🌈 Less dry skin 🌈 More energy (even on night shifts) 🌈 And 3 1/2 inches and 8lbs down in 3 weeks It’s great to see my team members also thriving with feeling good too 🤩 We will continue this drive and focus into May and the summer months - because we want to carry on feeling great this summer . . . another real life post coming at you this sunday morning. the other day, i was excited to do a test block for my good spirits project. my sewing space was a mess from my improv quilt. i hadn't put anything away. i was not in the greatest mood to start and didn't want to stop and clean it up, i just wanted to get sewing. so i shoved everything over and just made some room. cut a few strips from my background starry, opened up the jelly roll and pulled out two strips. then went about cutting up the pieces i needed. well, one thing led to another and i ended up making several mistakes on what should have been a simple block. i had to unsew, recut, and resew. i ended up more frustrated as the time went on. finally i realized it was part of my the mood i started with, but more the fact that i was sewing in chaos. i had no room to work or think and make what i needed. i was using the available space (that wasn't covered with another project) on table to lay out my block and trying to do everything else on my ironing space. why?? it was just making me more irritated. so i stopped and took a few minutes, and it was literally like 5 minutes, to clean up the old project, and made room. i took a few deep breaths to refocus myself and felt 100 times better. so all this to say, if you are working in a place of chaos and things aren't going well, maybe take a minute and refocus that energy. it may help. also, thanks for coming to quiltyshug talk. sometimes i ramble on! #reallifetalk #unsewless #quietthechaos #worksmarternotharder #reallifesewing #talesfromtheseamripper #quilting #quiltmaker #quiltingislife #quiltytime #weekendquilting #quiltingmakesmehappy #quiltlife #quiltersofinstagram #makesomethingcute #quiltyshugtalk

This is hard. Real life: I've been struggling. For 8 months now I've been living with a condition called Achalasia, which makes swallowing food and liquids very difficult and half the time I end up 🤮 because things just won't go down. On top of it, the 10 year anniversary of my mom's passing just happened, and a week prior to that I suffered a miscarriage. It all. Just. Sucks. . Today I had a zoom meeting with a thoracic surgeon to schedule my surgery to fix my esophagus. I was so hopeful to finally have a light at the end of the tunnel. Instead, more vagueness. I'm cued on their list for some unknown date months in the future. And given the impression that this procedure will make things better, but no indication as to it making things normal. How do I navigate this space of unknown? The space that I am absolutely terrified to live in? Ich wusste bis heute nichtmal, dass es die im 8.Lebensmonat nochmal gibt Aber das erklärt einiges..😵💫 Wir sind offenbar nahtlos von der 6.Monats-Schlafregression in diese über gegangen, denn seit nunmehr fast 2 Monaten bekomme ich nachts nicht mehr wie 3 - 3 1/2 Stunden Schlaf weil Mausi bis Mitternacht alle 60 - 90 Minuten wach wird und ab Mitternacht wird Party gemacht bis 3 halb 4 in der früh. Salut les amis! 🌟 Je suis de retour pour partager les aventures palpitantes de ma semaine, qui, soyons honnêtes, a été un joyeux bordel ambulant. 😅 Tout a commencé avec la petite malade, donc lundi, c'était garde à la maison. Mardi, je la dépose quand même à la crèche, car j'ai une opération dentiste avec le petit, qui a décidé que ses dents valent plus cher que des diamants. En bonus, pas de maîtresse à l'école, alors je garde le petit toute la journée. 💎👩⚕️ Mercredi, pas d'école pour le grand. Je remets la petite à la crèche, pensant que tout va mieux, et je jongle entre le boulot et des clients qui semblent croire que la patience est une plante exotique. Génial, n'est-ce pas ? 🎪🌿 Jeudi, le grand retourne à l'école, la mini à la crèche et je me précipite vers mon premier rendez-vous. Sauf qu'il est en retard, et c'est moi qui décale tout mon planning.. 😬 En prime, la crèche m'appelle, la petite doit être récupérée. Elle est donc partie chez Papi et Mami pour la fin de la semaine, histoire de se reposer, et pour moi, de pouvoir travailler. Mais grosse blague !! maintenant, c'est monsieur qui est malade. 🤒 Je jongle entre école, boulot, et clients qui semblent jouer à cache-cache avec leur porte-monnaie. Heureusement, j'ai des clients sympas qui me redonnent le sourire, sinon je ne sais pas comment je ferais. 😊 Encore une semaine chaotique, merdique même. Mais rappelez-vous, on garde le sourire, on positive, un peu d'humour, et tout devient (à peu près) supportable. Et toi, comment s'est passée ta semaine ? I am having one of those days, so I’m posting a picture I took a while back that made me happy. January is always a hard month for me, because it leads into February when we lost our son almost 14 years ago, my dads birthday is coming up, I popped a blood vessel in my eye yesterday 🤦🏼♀️ This rainy day isn’t helping much either. Anxiety all morning.... Still got up and bought groceries. I really hate trying to shop this time of year for anything. Wish I could just have groceries delivered like rich people. #somedaygoals Also #autismmeltdowns are happening so I have not been able to go live because I work around my Kid's schedule and Holidays are hard. I have always told people not to have expectations but I find that hard for myself to let them go. HELLO THERE 👋 HOW HAS DECEMBER BEEN TREATING YOU SO FAR? 🤔 • hi RKaye here 😊 if this happened to land on your feed for the first time or if you've been with me for a while now, here's a fairly quick run down of who i am and what i'm all about 😉 • i earned my black belt in Tae Kwon Do back in college, where i also finished my Bachelor of Sports Science degree. i would have attended medical school but was blown away by the world of fitness and personal training — hey, prevention is better than cure, right? 🤓 • while working i also found the love for powerlifting and then years after i would also get hooked on strongman, i guess you could say i really find fulfillment in lifting heavy sh*t 😂 • since i have spent many years as a personal fitness trainer (since 2006) when the pandemic hit, i had moments that left me feeling afraid and vulnerable, but i knew i had to get my thinking cap on and that's what made me see the value of the internet and the many platforms i could use to get to help people again ☺️ • i consistently share easy to follow movement training on @youtube @facebook and @instagram (all links in my bio) i wanted to make sure that no matter how busy y'all get in a day, you would still be able to take a deep breath, forget about the worries of your day, click on the link and get your movements done without the hassle of heading out to the gym or cram your workout into your schedule 👏 • over the years i have come to appreciate how truly blessed i am to have discovered my passion in helping people become better than they were yesterday, through health and fitness 😌 • phew! 😄 if you're still stuck here reading this i would certainly appreciate it if you say hi below ⬇️ i am very excited to connect and re-connect with you all ☺️🥰
November 30 *A few days late but not forgotten.* I’m thankful I showed up to fulfill my November challenge. I may have been a couple days late some & did a few combination posts, but I still did it. Isn’t life full of choices that revolve around us showing up? Deciding to be all in is a daily choice. And I don’t mean doing it all, rather giving it your best for whatever you are doing. This is something I’ve been struggling with lately. I recently opened up to a friend (& my dear husband who always listens). I explained how I feel like I’m going through the motions in various areas of life. That is a heavy & uncomfortable feeling. I’ve questioned if I’m showing up in the ways I need to. I’ve wondered if I’m doing things to the best of my ability. I’ve pondered if I’m living out my calling & not just in my occupation, but in my overall life. Here is the kicker: I still don’t have this all figured out. I’m not sure we ever do. But I think we can go through varying levels of fulfilling our life purpose. None of us are here to just occupy space. We have things we are meant to do & accomplish. Those things can change in our various life seasons. Our goal should be to step into that calling & give it our all. When you do things out of a “have to” mentality instead of a desire, it shows. It’s quite obvious if your heart is in something. That goes for your job, as a spouse, as a mom, as a friend, & so much more. People recognize your passion by your words, actions, & behavior. What are people seeing in you? Are you running on a hamster wheel, doing a lot but going no where? Are you feeling lost in what this season is supposed to be about? Do you long for more in different areas of life? You are not alone! I can’t promise if you will figure things out tomorrow or not. I don’t know when you might have a lightbulb moment. I can promise, if you won’t give up, things will evolve. It may take time. It may not look how you envisioned. But keep showing up. You have purpose & you can do big things!
I RARELY GET DOLLED UP AND WHEN I DO... it's often for a special occasion 🤩🥳 spent the last couple of weeks of November back in my home country, reuniting with friends and family 🥰🇵🇭 and the highlight of my trip was this, looking fancy for my niece's wedding 👰♀️ let's just say someone wouldn't stop chopping onions the entire night 😭😆 i'm just a big softy when it comes to weddings, i dunno why but it is what it is and all the more since I've witnessed my niece growing up from a baby to a lady 😍 it's always nice to spend time with people you love and who have been there for you since day one ❤️ how did you end your November? 🤔 go and share your stories with us in the comments ☺️⬇️

My name is Priscille, and I'm the dreamer behind Priscille’s Pens and Scribbles, a bespoke digital marketing service for small businesses and personal brands. In 2019, I fell in love with writing after a tough season in my life, and in 2021, I decided to go for it, and Priscille’s Pens and Scribbles was born (although it was officially registered as a business in 2023). I spend most of my days reading books and articles about marketing to improve my content marketing skills for both my business and my clients’ among many other things, and I love every minute of it.
