Mr Patel was a grounded industrialist, a wise consul, philanthropist, and a successful entrepreneur. This remarkable man founded the global food company, Cofresh, in 1965. In 2020, Mr Patel and his wife, Savitaben, fell in love with Rutland Hall the moment they saw it. Beautiful place for afternoon tea @rutlandhallhotel lovely outdoor views of the lake. We booked for vegetarian afternoon tea, a variety of savoury snacks were given which added an extra touch to the afternoon tea, breaded cauliflower bites, falafel and mini cheese & onion quiche. We felt some sort of dip was missing to go with these snacks so we asked for sweet chilli sauce and they kindly offered some to us. Sandwiches we had egg mayonnaise, pesto and tomato and cheese and caramelised onions. The egg mayonnaise was our favourite. The breakfast blend tea was really good and unlimited refills. The scones came warm and tasted delicious. Sweet selection was carrot cake, victoria sponge and chocolate cake all classics they were all yummy. They also gave lemon posset in small dessert cups which was also really good. I still can’t get over the fact I feel comfortable enough to wear a body con dress. Never thought I’d see the day! Pictures like these help me realise how far I really have come. Size 20 to size 8 and 7 stone gone. Today I am feeling very positive about myself and my journey, in fact, all week I’ve felt really good. And the reason is all down to attending @gastricgossip at the weekend and not only being totally inspired by @sophiegotsleeved and her team, including the amazing @thedietologist, but by every other person there too who shared their time and part of their own journey with me. A night away at Rutland Hall with mum. 🤍 (ad- pr stay) Last weekend mum and I were lucky enough to be invited to Rutland hall. Despite it only being 1.5 hrs from where we’re based, neither of us had visited the small county of Rutland before! We were pleasantly surprised at just how lovely it was. We visited Oakham and Uppington which were both very charming and had some lovely shops and cafés. We also visited Barnsdale gardens which were super close to the hall, (literally a 3 minute drive)! The hall itself was beautiful and offers a wide variety of accommodation options, including lodges which overlook the lake. Our room had a balcony which looked out onto the lake, so peaceful and definitely a great place to have your morning coffee or watch the sunset. Rutland Hall would definitely make a great option for anyone wanting to host a family get together as I’m sure you could all fit on site. As well as the main hall there’s other buildings surrounding the hall which all have rooms in. There’s an on site beautician so I treated mum and I to a manicure, I really enjoyed this service as it’s a nightmare trying to get nail appointments! We also had a round of crazy golf which was free to hotel guests and was a lot of fun. There’s also an on-site restaurant which serves up delicious food. You can also see the chefs cooking which always fascinates me! 🙌🏼 Everything tasted amazing and the portions were generous too. We were only there for a night but if we had longer we would have loved to walk further around the lake, maybe do some paddle boarding and visit Stamford. There’s SO much you can do in this little area. Spending time with mum is so important and I think that this made the perfect staycation for us. Last night our team had the chance to spend a bit of fun time together - a wonderful night out together at the Mercury Business Awards. What a brilliant, glamorous event it was, hosted by Rutland Hall Hotel, with delicious food and great entertainment. We were lucky enough to win Team of the Year 2023... although it must have been a particularly tricky job for the judges trying to pick just one from the shortlist of local businesses, from all that talent that Wildcats Theatre School and Roaring Productions have between them, plus the dedication of the staff at Options Day Care. This award isn't just for the staff at MindSpace though... our team would not exist without the committed, enormously kind band of volunteers that actually carry out the work that MindSpace do, and there are lots of you now!
