This week has been tough for Ava being in heat. She’s been down, can’t settle, tired and more clingy than usual. This sweet boy is SO sleepy because he didn’t get any sleep last night. He was waiting for his Daddy to come home all night. He always waits for James to come home and then gets the zoomies and runs and tells me and then he plays with Daddy for a while then he comes and cuddles me. I tried to get him to come to bed repeatedly. He never got to do his zoomies and Daddy was missing so he woke me up howling at 4:00AM. He only howls when fire trucks, police or ambulances go by and this time he was just calling out for his Daddy (He is definitely a Daddy’s boy). Normally if I call him he comes straight to me and stops howling but this time was different. He wasn’t stopping and he still didn’t want to come to bed. Separation anxiety is real people and it is so sad to watch my sweet Creed go through this. My Rosie goes through it when I go out of town as well. It’s going to be rough until we all get to Alabama together. This was a sudden change and we are handling it the best way possible for everyone to be together again as soon as possible. However, seeing my sweet hubby a couple days a week is not ideal but I think puppers are going to have the hardest time because they don’t understand what is going on. All I can do is love and support them and hopefully the moving process will go quickly. I am grateful and blessed to be starting this new journey with my best friend and hubby and I am positive it is the right path and worth the temporary sacrifices that we must make. It is going to be amazing and filled with positivity, peace and prosperity. I’m feeling much better (mum says I don’t need to wear the cone anymore) 🤎 Last Friday, I ran out of the front door when dad got home to say hello & there were cats in the hallway, I only just walked past them and I got my eye scratched. I was very very upset, but mum & dad took me to the emergency vet and they said the cat got my 3rd eye. Mum took me for a checkup yesterday where I got lots of cuddles, kisses and treato’s and said that my eye was in the clear!! Although it was an accident, be careful round cats if they do not live together. If your dog does get scratched by a cat to ensure that you take them to the vet immediately as they have diseases in their nails (especially if you got scratched in the eye). It’s been a hard year over here so far. 😞 I’ve been diagnosed with something called Addison’s disease, also known as, hypoadrenocorticism. My body views my adrenal glands as a threat, and in turn attacks and destroys them and their function. This disease can present itself in many different ways, but is confirmed through a specific blood test.
