We made it!!!! You all I am so thankful to be resting in a cozy bed and in the place we planned for this evening in Copenhagen. 🙌 After being tossed around and plans changing every 30 minutes there’s so much relief to just be here. Tonight we are staying in our first hostel. Since the kids are young we opted for a family suite with a private bathroom. The kids were so pumped to get their own pod. This is a great option for the night for us as it’s conveniently located to the city, train station and near the port in preparation for tomorrow. Plus @steel_house_copenhagen is super hip! There’s live music downstairs, grab bags for food, coffee bar, a kitchen to make your own food, laundry, movie theater, game room, pool, yoga classes, etc. And our room is exactly what we needed and quiet from the city noise. 나엘이는 생전 처음 경험해 보는 게스트하우스의 분위기가 너무 마음에 드는것 같다. 이곳저곳에서 코펜하겐을 즐기려고 모인 사람들이 있는 곳이라 즐거운 에너지가 느껴진다. 나도 오랜만에 배낭여행을 온 기분이 들어 옛 생각도 나고 좋았다. 나엘이는 칸막이가 된 이층침대가 유독 마음에 들었다. 자기 만의 공간이라는 느낌이 강해서 그런가보다. 머리맡에 충전기도 있고 작은 바구니도 있고, 마치 아지트 같은가 보다. 자기 라이프에서 제일 좋은 침대라고 한다. 이곳은 오픈한지 몇년 안 된 호스텔인것 같다. 내가 참고 했던 북유럽 여행 책에는 소개 되지 않은 곳이다. 검색을 하다가 가격에 비해 시설이 좋은 것 같아 예약했는데 꽤 괜찮았다. 주방도 좋았고 로비도 좋았고 다 괜찮았다. 그래도 호스텔을 선택할 때 아이들과 하는 여행이기 때문에 공용 화장실을 써야하는 것이 가장 맘에 걸렸는데 이곳은 방에 개인 화장실이 있는 곳도 있다. 그래서 선택했다. 밤마다 메인 로비에서 함께 보는 프리미어리그 축구는 나로를 더욱 신나게 했다. 축구는 모여보는게 진리지. #코펜하겐여행 #덴마크여행 #아이와북유럽 #travel #steelhousecopenhagen

Wowzers Copenhagen, you were pretty cool!! And pretty damn expensive too!! Olive has decided that because the ladies dress ‘classily’ and don’t have crop tops or ‘fat lips’, and because the food is all delicious; that she would like to live here one day. And I can visit for free!! Our hostel @steel_house_copenhagen cost more for a 6 bed dormitory than most accommodation on this trip 🤔 And the place was HEAVING. Literally never seen anything like it, people of all shapes, sizes and ages, from all walks of life. It was super cool 😎 but trying to organise dinner or get ANYTHING into the fridge, tended to be a bit stressful!! Also, our room was initially super cool but we quickly realised that unless we were all in our bed pods….it was a bit tight and frustrating to be in there. I cannot imagine 6 people who have never met having to share a space like that 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 Anyway after walking through the snow to get to said hostel, I think we got to bed after 12pm, so started thr next day on a bit of a back foot! We still managed to do some school work (the bare minimum, blood , sweat and tears shed!); and then went and checked out some cool parks - for snowball fights; Nyhaven for the coloured buildings; the Little Mermaid 🧜♀️ statue. It was a HUGE day. Made easier by the plethora of snow as the kids were racing around making snowballs at every opportunity!!
