Moja pierwsza podróż, na którą zbierałam pieniądze💲 przez 2 lata (gdy ukończyłam 16 lat z pracy sezonowej) była prawdziwą lekcją determinacji oraz odkryciem, że spełnianie marzeń jest absolutnie warte każdego poświęcenia😍. Miesiące odkładania kasy, rezygnacji z niektórych przyjemności i ciągłe myślenie o tym, czy aby na pewno się uda sprawiały, że w niektórych momentach wątpiłam, czy to wszystko ma sens. Jednak gdy w końcu wyruszyłam w podróż🌍, każda przeżyta przygoda oraz przepiękne krajobrazy 🏝, które miałam okazję zobaczyć, przekonały mnie, że każda chwila oczekiwania była tego warta👏. Podróż ta udowodniła, że MOJE MARZENIA mają ogromną wartość. Nauczyła mnie, jak ważne jest, by być wytrwałym i nie poddawać się, nawet gdy cel wydaje się odległy. To doświadczenie zmieniło moje życie, pokazując, że z pasją, planowaniem i trochę cierpliwości, można osiągnąć prawie wszystko. To była nie tylko podróż z punktu A do punktu B, ale także podróż w głąb siebie, która pokazała, że granice są tylko w naszych głowach🤯. Choć minęło już 15 lat, to wspomnienia pierwszej podróży wciąż są ze mną 🙂 Pokazała jak wiele jeszcze przede mną i jak każda kolejna podróż, choć inna, jest równie ważna i wzbogacająca. I to dzięki tej pierwszej przygodzie wciąż z niegasnącym entuzjazmem pakuję plecak gotowa na nowe odkrycia🎒. Dzisiaj podróżuję z moją rodziną - mężem i córkami✈️👨👩👧👧. We had the BEST family day yesterday! Started out at Animal Adventures in Bolton, Massachusetts and ended at the Nashoba Valley Winery. So many unique animals at Animal Adventures. Our favorites were the ferrets, capybara, and the tortoise! Next time we want to check out the animal encounters! Nashoba Valley Winery was the perfect way to spend a gorgeous afternoon. My daughter was able to run around and play with the other kiddos, we listened to live music, and enjoyed some great wine and spritz. Last stop en route home in the Forest of Dean. Amazing trip to @puzzlewoodfod - pictures just don't show how beautiful this place is. The kids thought it was an enchanted forest, with so many things to spot and Roman coins to find! 🪙 Plus lots of woodland walks - sadly, we didn't spot any wild boar - but a little sneaky forest friend did find it's way into our awning in the night! 🦊
First stop on our trip. Staying at the Cotswolds farm park - holding chick's, feeding lambs and kids, lots of play (the best indoor sand pit area and Mr A just going round in circles on the tractors), Little Miss always learning about the war, her favourite sheep - The Hebridean, a Viking sheep! Beautiful day, fab company and a great track - perfect school holiday entertainment 🙌 Lookout Track | Maukatere (Mt Grey) | 8km rtn | 500m elev Loved this route up to the summit of Maukatere - more kid-friendly than the main track and more interesting (I thought anyway) 🙃 Starting out at Lake Janet, the track winds its way up through forest and scrub before popping out at the old fire lookout. Here you’re treated to views right across the Canterbury plains and foothills and we had fun trying to pick out the other foothill mountains of Oxford, Thomas and Richardson. Yes, it’s challenging, but it’s also empowering! I was inspired to start solo adventuring with my kids after getting to know RWMC Executive Team member Nicole @coleyraeh through her IG feed. And it’s changed our life (for the good!). My husband’s work schedule doesn’t give him a ton of time off, and we like to do different things when we’re together as a family. Solo mom adventuring with the kids has given me the chance to do things he’s not that interested in (e.g. yurt camping or driving 14 hours to play on the beach for the day) and explore “my way.” It’s been good for me, good for the kids, and good for our marriage! We had an absolute blast at #baleoffunfarm Getting to hold and feed the baby animals was such a heartwarming experience 🩷 Despite the lack of stroller access, which we don’t need anymore since my mini is 5 going in 15 but just in case you’re going with a tiny pea, you’ll have to carry! They host birthday parties or just an hour visit to meet all their animals, including bunnies, piglets, piggies, chickens, ducks, goodness the list goes on. Also the owner is delightful and knows so much about all the animals, it’s a nice treat, but make sure to wear good shoes and prepare to get dirty. Don’t forget Hand Sanitizer! We found a nice beach near Carvoeiro, Praia Do Carvalho. We needed to walk a little bit and climb down the stairs, which was quite easy. On top is a nice view and on the end of the stairs you need to go through a small cave to come to the beach. Cool experience... “In Alaska, you can go out your door and be in a completely different world.” ~ Bear Grylls I have always wanted to go to Alaska. I am excited to announce that my kids and I will take an EPIC Road Trip from New York to Alaska. On June 6th, we will hit the road and head to Alaska. Suppose I were driving straight through it would take about three days. However, my partner is a school teacher and can’t take this drive with us, so we will take our time getting there (I figure 9 days). We will stay in the States as long as we can. Staying in the States gives us more opportunities to get out of the car and stop at kid-friendly places. We have memberships with ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers), AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums), and ACM (Association of Children’s Museums). Each association has a list of museums and zoos/aquariums that we can get into for free or at a discounted rate (usually 50%) across the States. Our ASTC membership is global so that we can use it in other countries. Please join us on this EPIC Road Trip. Follow along for the planning process, tips, tricks, and advice. On June 6, 2024, we will start our journey from New York to Alaska and Alaska back to New York. I know this isn’t easy, but it will be worth it. Spring time at the farm just hits differently. We were meant to go to @farmhoughton at Easter but the weather meant we rescheduled and aren't we glad we did?! 📍Dobby’s Grave, Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire One for the Harry Potter fans! Freshwater West is where the filming took place for the movie ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part One’. It’s an absolutely gorgeous beach with rolling sand dunes. We parked in the car park closest to the war memorial, followed the path down to the beach and then walked along the beach until we spotted the ‘grave’ in the sand dunes about halfway down the beach on our left. If you plan to visit, please take environmentally friendly offerings for Dobby. The pile of socks have been causing problems for the local wildlife so we gave wild flowers and a pebble with a heart drawn in chalk. This was our first time riding a horse and we learned a great lesson from the nice gentleman at @davy_crockett_riding_stables. He said the hardest part of riding a horse is getting on it. And the hardest part of overcoming a fear is taking the first step. And y’all my babygirl was scared in the beginning. She wanted me to get on with her but I couldn’t..: but she was so brave that she rode an hour on a nature trail… Steering and controlling it herself. I just say that to say, the hardest part of whatever you’re doing is the beginning. And if you stop now, may never want to keep going. So keep riding it out and seeing it through. Didn’t know what to do during all the Easter holidays and decided to hop back to @wackykingdomkingston. Been there once before and it was amazing for my two kids. Although my older one struggled a bit to let go of his teen spirit, he ended up having a great time.
