En læskende, rødfrugtig vin med rund fylde, frisk syre og fløjlsbløde tanniner; fuld af hindbær, brombær, blommer, svesker og friske figner, fint fulgt op af delikate kryddernoter af læder, tobak, laurbærblade, bergamot og malurt. Middelhavets sommersol kombineret med kølig brise. Druerne dyrkes økologisk omkring Šibenik i det nordlige Dalmatien ved den kroatiske Adriaterhavskyst, og i den unge vinmager Juraj Sladićs hænder bliver de her vinificeret helt uden fad. Forfriskende og fornøjelig sommervin 🍇 Babić er en gammel sort, som i disse år for alvor vinder frem igen. Efter alt at dømme stammer den fra det nordlige Dalmatien, hvor den især trives i det stenede karstlandskab omkring kystbyerne Šibenik og Primošten. When Marco Polo went on his travels to Asia and China he put a few cartons of white wine from Korčula in his baggage ;-) After a long and dangerous trip, he finally arrived at the court of Kublai Khan. He was famous for and very proud of his rice wine cellar (hmmmm...), and Marco gave him a few bottles of wine he brought with him. After tasting the wine, he told him these exact words: "Until now, I knew nothing about you and Korčula, as Wikipedia is still not invented. I still don't have a clue about the island you come from, but this wine, Merga Victa Pošip Sur Lie, is golden in color, with pronounced aromas of ripe stone fruits such as peach and apricot, aromas of yellow flowers, vanilla, toast and almonds." The historians agree that Khan immediately sent Marco Polo back to Korcula to bring more wine, but unfortunately, he was captured by Genoans and put in jail instead. There, he started a successful travel blog, becoming the most important travel influencer of the medieval ages :-)) Travels are about stories.
