So, it’s National Husband Appreciation day today….and after the emergency stop you had to do today with ALL the display cakes in the boot, 🤯 - here’s a few pics of my amazing hubby - Philip 💛my biggest supporter, listener of all my cake highs n lows, has travelled with me all over the country to wedding shows and cake deliveries. He’s my washer upper when I’m swamped, he’s with me when I need to do an all nighter bc the cake needs to be PERFECT! He’ll run out at 10pm to get eggs for me to save me going in the morning. He’s taken his Food n Hygiene certificate too. But, his biggest and most important job is as chief taster, a job he puts his heart and soul into, giving truthful feedback, his favs being vanilla sponge and rich fruit cake, meaning he gets his own Christmas cake each year of course as scientific research to determine the suitability to sell to the general public - nothing goes out that’s not been ‘passed’ as excellent! 🤣 Thank you for being you and for being mine - I love you and I appreciate everything you do for me, our family, children and grandchildren - you’re amazing ♥️

Я всегда об этом мечтала... 💞 Мечтала быть яркой, проявляться как яркая личность, носить яркую одежду... Если с первыми двумя пунктами всё складывалось вполне хорошо (и без яркой одежды), я оказывалась и оказываюсь в центре внимания НЕ потому что это моя основная и единственная первоцель, а потому что я просто делаю что я хочу и как я хочу и это приводило меня в тот самый центр внимания))) (например, моя творческая деятельность - организация праздников, совместных поездок). Porodna zgodba. 🧸 Del IV.🤎 “Materinstvo je surova, needitirana različica z vsemi povzetki, zaradi česar je najlepša zgodba.”✨ Ponovni pregled in odprta sem bila 9-10 cm, skoraj polno odprta. Wow! To je odlično, sem si mislila! A bila sem že zelo izčrpana! V glavi sem poskušala ohraniti mirno kri, bila sem že več kot na polovici. Pridemo do druge dobe, doba iztisa. Babica J. me je vodila med potiskanjem, Jure pa je bil sploh moj največji navijač. Bila sem že na robu svoje zmogljivosti. V nekem trenutku rečem: “Ne morem več” in zraven Jure: “še malo, glavica se vidi…”. Ugotovimo, da doba iztisa traja že kar nekaj časa, in da je dobro, da otrok čim prej pride ven. S pomočjo osebja nam uspe dojenčka spraviti na svet. Vem, da se mi je zdelo zelo dolgo predno sem slišala njegov jok…..nakar zajoka. Svet se ustavi. Tu je. Prišel je. 10:03. Nemudoma mi ga dajo na prsa, kjer občutim prvič težo svojega dojenčka. Ko se zavem, da sem postala mama in Jure postal oče. Porodna zgodba. 🧸 Del |||. 🤎 “Ko ženska postane mama, se zanjo prične novo zgodovinsko obdobje.”💫 Občutila sem olajšanje, ko v sobo stopi anasteziolog. Po aplikaciji zdravila se kar naenkrat odpre drugi svet. “Kje so popadki? Lahko se spočijem in malo zaspim, energijo bom še rabila…” Hkrati pa se zavedam, da posledično slabše čutim mišice medeničnega dna, ki so pomembne pri potiskanju... Mislila sem si, zaupaj, da se bo vse vredu izšlo. Ob meni je bil ves čas Jure, ki mi je poskušal pomagati z masažo, besedami in le z njegovo prisotnostjo. Vedela sem, da je bil ves čas zraven mene in počutila sem se varno. Ura kar na enkrat šiba proti novemu dnevu. Babica T. me ponovno pregleda in pove, da sem odprta nekaj cm več. Vem, da sem rekla: “ A samo”? Zdelo se mi je, da se odpiranje nikamor ne premika. Ponovno me babica pomiri. Nakar se z Juretom zaveva, da bo porod trajal dlje, kot sva mislila…in kaj sedaj z najino psičko Vario, ki naju čaka na hodniku….Slej, ko prej bo morala lulati in kakati. Odločiva se, da J skoči domov…jo na hitro spustiti na travo in potem dati na njen balkon. V času Juretove krajše odsotnosti slišim, kako se porodne sobe polnijo še z drugimi porodnicami in slišim novorojenčkove joke. Zajokam tudi sama. Od sreče za bitjeca in mamice, ki so že rodile. Babica T. pove, da so to drugorodke, kjer je porod ponavadi hitrejši. Babica T. me kasneje ponovno pregleda in odprta sem bila že kar konkretno več. Upala sem, da Jure čim prej pride. In res je, Jure se vrne ob menjavi smene. Pride nova babica J., ki z mano ostane vse do konca. Pomaga mi z nasveti glede dihanja in na trenutke se tudi pošali, kar nama je z Juretom prav pasalo in pozitivno “presekalo”.
