J343 (dim. 21 avril): ☀️ 0km Après une bonne nuit de sommeil au calme dans le grand appart de Yusuf, chacun se réveille à son rythme 😇. On p'tit déjeune tous les trois, puis chacun vaque à ses occupations (film pour Flo, cours de grec pour Amélie, transfert de photos pour moi). Vers midi on part tous les trois dans le centre de Şanlıurfa en bus 🚌, on s'arrête manger des galettes maison aux falafels (30 LT 😯! Soit l'équivalent de 0,87€!), on craque avec Flo et on en mange deux chacun 😋. En rejoignant Balıklıgöl, on s'arrête manger des desserts typiques que l'on n'avait pas encore goûté : künefe (sorte de gâteau au fromage et au sucre), katmer (sorte de calzone kurde à la pistache et au fromage) et dondurma (glace turque à la texture particulière). On est plus que repus! Un Monsieur dans la rue nous offre des concombres pelés 🥒 à déguster 😅! On déambule dans le bazar, puis dans Balıklıgöl (Mosquées, lac sacré aux poissons, château) 😍 avec beaucoup de monde. Aujourd'hui, les yeux sont rivés sur nous : Amélie en short avec les cheveux courts 😲 et moi en débardeur 😯. Retour en bus 🚌 🚌, courses puis repos. C'est tellement rare de pouvoir se poser au calme dans un appartement prêté gracieusement que l'on décide de rester encore un jour de plus 😄. On est encore bien fatigués. On se fait du tatziki maison avec des simits (sorte de pain bredzel au sésame qu'on adore), la flemme de cuisiner tous les légumes qu'on a acheté 🫣🙄. J342 (sam. 20 avril): ☀️ 0km Réveil sans réveil ⏰, le bonheur! On est crevés après 9 jours de vélo non stop et du bon dénivelé. Prendre le temps de se rendormir et se réveiller tranquillement nous fait du bien 🙂. P'tit déj' tous les quatre avec notre hôte Yusuf auquel on fait découvrir notre "p'tit déj' de sédentaire" (yaourt, miel, muesli, fruits frais, cannelle, etc.), puis il s'en va en nous laissant l'appartement "vous êtes ici chez vous!" 🤗🙏 et des cartes de bus. On décide en fin de matinée avec Flo d'aller au Şanlıurfa Arkeoloji Müzesi 🚌 👣: très intéressant avec de magnifiques sculptures néolithiques 🤩 dont beaucoup venant de Göbekli Tepe (à choisir mieux vaut visiter le musée que le site, moins cher et avec des reproductions grandeur nature). On visite ensuite le musée de la mosaïque (avec le même billet) 🤩. Aujourd'hui la température a un peu baissé 🙂, mais le soleil est bien présent (d'ailleurs on pèle des bras depuis un moment bien que l'on mette de la crème solaire 😝). Après avoir pédalé pendant des jours avec un t-shirt malgré la chaleur excessive, j'ai décidé aujourd'hui de mettre un débardeur tout en gardant mes jambes couvertes (ce n'est pas l'envie qui manque de me mettre en short mais toutes les femmes sont couvertes ici de la tête aux pieds). On se balade dans Balıklıgöl et le Park Ayn Zeliha (bondé ce samedi après-midi) mais très beau 😍 puis dans la ville avant de rentrer en bus. Courses, cuisine 🍲 (je fais un menemen maison 😋), apéro et bon repas pour terminer cette journée de "repos" 😅. I realise that some people haven’t quite realised what’s going on here. That’s why I’ll tell you about it again briefly 😁 I’m currently in Switzerland and taking a break from travelling. I want to use the time to make some preparations for the next big trip on my motorbike in 2025. I also want to feed other platforms such as YouTube, Twitch and Tiktok with more content again. At the end of the year, I also want to get a van and convert it myself. However, this will cost a lot of money and I’ll earn this money this year and next year, so that the van will be ready in 2026. It’s going to be a huge project and I’m really looking forward to it! Of course, the van will also have space for a motorbike, because I’m not giving that up. However, I’ve realised on my last few trips that working in a tent is just annoying and I don’t like to concentrate for long. That’s why I also want a work surface in the van. The aim is that I can live completely in the van and no longer need a room to take my breaks. It should be a flat on 4 wheels 😁 As I can’t just not travel for a year, I’m of course going to Italy for 2-3 weeks on my motorbike in the summer. 😍🙌🏼 To summarise; there is still a lot of different content and lots of projects coming up. J341 (vend. 19 avril): ☀️🌬️ 43,3km +355 -543 Après une bonne nuit et un p'tit déj' au soleil et dans le vent, nous voilà partis 🚴🚴♀️🚴♀️. Pédaler sur du plat nous va bien, mais ensuite ça monte pour arriver à Göbekli Tepe ⛰️, et on n'a plus envie de pédaler en montée 🤪! Bon, on le fait quand même, mais entre la fatigue et les 35° 🥵... Avec Flo, on visite le musée, le site archéologique et son lieu de culte néolithique aux piliers minutieusement sculptés 🤩 datant de 9700-8700 av. J.C! Pause picnic à l'ombre tous les trois avec Amélie, rencontre avec des cyclovoyageurs catalans (sans leurs vélos) puis on reprend la route pour Şanlıurfa où on est accueillis chez Yusuf via Couchsurfing. À peine arrivés dans la ville, nous voilà invités à boire un café turc par Elif 🙏, puis on fait quelques courses avant de rejoindre l'appartement de notre hôte. Être accueillis via Couchsurfing c'est toujours une aventure, on ne sait jamais à quoi s'attendre ni comment va se dérouler le "séjour": c'est tellement chouette toutes ces surprises 🤗! Yusuf nous aide à monter nos sacoches et vélos (× 3 ça fait du bazar!) au 5° étage (avec ascenseur 🍀). Nous voilà dans un grand appartement qui lui sert à accueillir ses amis, dans lequel il ne vit pas et dans lequel on peut s'installer comme chez nous 😯🤗. Douche 🚿, cuisine 🍲, apéro et repas tous les quatre avec des discussions entre anglais et Google trad suivis d'une bonne nuit de sommeil... dans un lit deux places très confortable 🙂 (en ce qui nous concerne Flo et moi). April 2024 - Oman Refreshed I left Duqm, continuing along the coast. I skipped the Masirah Island as already hot and I need a bit shade for the tent... so I was planning to camp in Al Ashkharah, but I didn't feel to confortable 🤔 I checked for a hotel in Ras Al Hadd as already getting late - and my auxiliar lights not working. So I raced agains sunset 😅 leaving behind the most beautiful part of landscape 🙄😵 but belive me, the stock BMW lights are like a candles 🕯🕯and you do NOT want to ride at night with them😅🫣 I went to the wrong hotel 😆 and when leaving I bumped into @alharbi995562 . He was recommended to me already a long time ago for a boat trip. Perfect timing!! So I will meet him tomorrow again for a boat trip.
