MEET & GREETS! For some Disney Adults™️ this is a complete pass—and I will admit, when I go on short trips I do skip a lot of the character meet and greets. But I’ve got to say—how can you go to WDW and not see THE Big Cheese himself? As you can see, over the years I have always prioritized meeting three characters: Mickey, Donald, and Ariel. There’s even been times when I’ve gone and met Ariel alone because no one else in my group wanted to wait to meet her—and the reality? I’m okay with that!!! I’ve been to Disney enough times that I know everyone has different priorities, but for me I have to see Ariel and I have to see Mickey Mouse. I love character dining for these exact reasons—specifically breakfast. Not only is breakfast the better bang for your buck, but you can often meet the core princesses at a princess breakfast OR you can meet all of the Fab 5 and then some additional characters! There are also so many other unique and fun character dining experiences that WDW has to offer that makes it a fun way to not only meet the characters, but a way for you to relax and eat a great meal with your family and friends. Also, as a Disney Adult™️ I know sometimes waiting in line to meet a character can be nerve wracking—especially if there are no kids in your party. I will admit, do you know what the absolute best thing in the world was? Going on a Disney cruise with a 5 year old and not being judged for waiting in line to meet Mickey Mouse. I have had experiences where I have casually talked to other guests in line, due to the inevitable waits, and then they will realize I don’t have a child with me and immediately think I’m crazy. That is the burden I must bear as a Disney Adult™️…that and a very expensive overall hobby😂 So you tell me, do you still love the feeling of meeting Mickey and the other characters in the parks? “But Daddy—I love him!” Let’s keep talking resorts! Any guesses?👀 If you guessed this statue is at Art of Animation—you guessed correctly! The first resort I stayed at was Port Orleans French Quarter, when I was just 3 years old. But, I didn’t feel like digging through the old photos to try and find a picture from that trip and figured I’d talk about my first experience staying on property that I can *vividly* remember—my 16th birthday! My family took me (and my bestfriend Paul) to WDW and we were not only staying at the newest resort since AoA had just opened the year before, but we were also among the first group of people to test out the ORIGINAL magic bands! We actually were IN the parks when both magic bands AND paper fast passes existed. There was a day when we had over 10 fast passes total between our pre-selects, additional magic band fast passes, and the paper fast passes we could grab. This was also a trip back when: 1. the hat was still in DHS 2. the backlot tour still existed 3. the citizens of hollywood still walked around the park and Paul actually got pulled into one of their shows It was this very trip that Hollywood Studios became my favorite park. Maybe it’s Fantasmic, maybe it’s the amazing memories I made with my bestfriend on that first real trip I had as an *almost* adult….who knows. I know DHS gets a lot of crap for being WDW’s IP park, and I get that. The theming is not what it was. But I still love it. THINGS WE DID ⬆️ that!!!✨ I don’t care if it was 3.1 miles or 19.3, if you ran RunDisney this weekend you are AMAZING!! I am so proud of myself for waking up and running this 5k when I am really not a runner at all!! It was so so so much fun running through the parks and I can’t wait to do it again!🤩🤩🤩 maybe a 10k next time??? Every mile is magic y’all, and it definitely felt that way!! First 5k EVER in the books!!!💕✨

There are 3 sections to the expo - one for disney exclusive merch, one to pick up your bib, and one for third party vendors such as shoes, workout gear, etc! It was so cool to be there and see the craziness that is the expo (iykyk🥲) and I had a really great time!! I got some cute merch to commemorate my first runDisney weekend and can’t wait to share that soon!!
