There’s something really classic about the look of film, to me it always looks instantly like a memory. Maybe because my childhood memories were captured on film or maybe it’s the magic of film itself capturing a moment on something tangible and not digital. These were taken with @farmhouseflowerswa and her wonderful family down here in the south west of WA. Developed and scanned by the legends at @ikigaifilmlab in Melbourne.
This wedding urn was created the last week of April of last year. If I had to pick ONE week out of the year for flowers, it would be that one. You never know exactly how each season is going to go. I was out planting things in the rain today, and looking around I thought of this urn. None of these flowers are in bloom yet in the field. So it makes me wonder, can all of these flowers really appear in as early as the next two weeks? The answer is YES. Two weeks at this time of year is a lifetime in terms of blooming flowers, especially with these warm temperatures. Let's see what happens, but fingers crossed that our fruit trees explode with blossom sooner rather than later, I don't think I can wait much longer. ❤️

This particular urn was created last week on our career change course as an example of how with less than more, you can create something wonderful. (Ingredients; hydrangea, ranunculus and a mix of winter foliage) The fact that Friday brought the final day of the final career change course of 2023 hasn’t really landed yet but already we have emails asking when we begin again so here we go…. If you’d like to career change with us next year there are only two options… the first is in Amsterdam in April and the second here at Levens Hall in June. ✨Reuse✨ For this beautiful spring wedding we created two of the prettiest urn arrangements. They were positioned at the front of the ceremony to frame the couple saying their vows, and to provide a backdrop for the readings and then later for the harpist. Meanwhile, we waited nearby and after the ceremony transported the arrangements safely to the Corinthia Hotel where they framed the top table and provided a backdrop for the speeches, coordinating beautifully with the table centrepieces. For me, these large arrangements are worth every penny to bring colour and life into the whole day and providing a romantic touch to the photos.
