Hello to you, I was late diagnosed as AUTISTIC in 2023 when I was 61-years-old. I am now 62. I have documented my journey on here since turning over my Instagram page to all things AUTISTIC. Although my page goes way back to 2013 my first autism post was dated 8 May 2022. Since then I have shared my thoughts, my fears, my opinions, the process leading up to my NHS autism diagnosis, the diagnostic experience itself and the sometimes painful deconstruction of my lived experience following it and which is still ongoing. I saw a really powerful post on LinkedIn today and wanted to share my thoughts around it on workplace environments/jobs. I’ve been working nonstop since I was 14 years old, yep, 14. I’ve learned an incredible amount about myself, others, and the workplace over that time. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is how important it is to put myself first. Actually, it’s a nonnegotiable for me at this point. My life and health - mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical - are my priority and always will be, so I do what I can to ensure it stays that way. The story the woman shared was as heartbreaking as it was powerful. It’s stories like those that remind me to continue doing what I’m doing to take care of myself even if that means not becoming or staying “a number”. Life is too short and precious to keep chugging away like a simple cog in a wheel. We all have tremendous value and I feel most of us truly don’t realize how much value we have! We tend to rate our value on what other people and our company thinks of us. Been there too many times in my life, so I’m intimately familiar with it. As a brilliant being always says (you can infer who if you want☺️) in order for you to find/manifest your soul’s purpose, your life’s calling… 1. Follow your greatest excitement/passion at all times. That may shift more than you think it should, but go with it. 2. Do it to the best of your abilities until it’s no longer your top passion, and then start following the next most exciting thing with NO insistence or expectation of what the outcome should be or the timing of an outcome. 3. Stay in a positive mindset at all times regardless of the outcome. If it’s not the outcome you prefer, consider how this might be a learning experience for you, how it might be providing contrast so you can more clearly see what you don’t prefer so that it can more easily highlight what you do prefer, etc. “If we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.” ~ Wayne Dyer Wishing you all a long, happy, prosperous, and a love-filled life that fulfills your soul!🥹💜

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa) has said that two Palestinian children have reportedly died due to high temperatures in Gaza. “We received reports that at least two children died due to the heat,” said Philippe Lazzarini, Unrwa commissioner-general. “What more to endure: death, hunger, disease, displacement, now living in greenhouses-like structures under scorching heat.” Unrwa said that Palestinians had less than 1 litre per person per day for drinking, washing and bathing, well under the international minimum standards of 15 litres. Z okazji kolejnego rewatchu, chciałam wam polecić mój ulubiony serial - Mr Robot 🤖 Trochę ironicznie, że na instagramie, ale co tam! A dlaczego? Już tłumaczę 🤣 Opowiada on historię młodego chłopaka zatrudnionego na stanowisku programisty w firmie zajmującej się cyberbezpieczeństwem za dnia, po godzinach hakera, niezwykle inteligentnego wyskokowca, który nie znosi kapitalizmu, korporacji i konglomeratów oraz pi3przy społeczeństwo 😅 To wszystko w wykonaniu świetnego aktora, Ramiego Maleka, którego sylwetka w czarnym kapturze stała się ikoną całej serii. Oczywiście to wszystko ma swoje powody, a serial nie jest czystym „hejtem”, ale komentarzem społecznym dotyczącym światowej gospodarki i ekonomii, kredytów, technologii, social mediów i nie tylko. Ten trochę mroczny klimat, okraszony ironią, sarkazmem i pokazujący szybko rozwijający się świat z innej strony, urzekł mnie i zatrzymał na dłużej. Oprócz tego w serialu znajdziemy także sentymentalne i zabawne smaczki popkulturowe i po prostu znamię tamtych czasów, kiedy to wszystko się dopiero rozkręcało - co szczególnie powinno urzec wszystkich millennialsów oraz ludzi, którzy urodzili się przed erą smartphone’ów. Prawdziwą wisienką na torcie z kolei okazało się niespotykanie realistyczne przedstawienie samego hakerstwa! Nie znajdziemy tutaj scen, w których kliknięcie enteru zatrzymuje miasto i wysadza pół wieżowca. Zobaczymy za to czarną konsolę, linijki kodu i odkryjemy, że włamywanie się do sieci wymaga w rzeczywistości… ogromnej ilości działań plenerowych 😉 Wszystkie te rzeczy zostaną też podkreślone świetnie wykreowanymi postaciami, korposzczurami, kapitalistami, marginesem społecznym, nerdami, zwykłymi laskami, które chciały dać z siebie wszystko, dilerami, czarnymi charakterami i nie tylko! To takie moim zdaniem najważniejsze elementy motywu przewodniego w serii Mr Robot, więcej ciężko jest przedstawić bez spoilerów, ze względu na to, iż wszystkie 4 sezony to akcja, zwroty akcji, intrygi, ślepe uliczki i ostre zakręty. Chennai airport is great — and check this wonderful Nataraja! Also beautiful Tanjore paintings depicting shiva in his eternal form, dancing as the cycle of life to the rhythms of time. I discovered chamundeshwari and nand devi too but didn’t have the time to stop and examine it much ! As part of my absurd residencies I am considering one in the airport, to test out their people moving machines — I have literally never seen people look like they’re having such a great time in an airport! Instead of shopping and eating, Chennai airport is like an educational museum full of beautiful art and didactics. I’m learning — and my face got scanned faster than my phone does to unlock it — I’m just glad chennai airport doesn’t have automated malfunctioning self check in machines like delhi now does — but at least people are still in charge of machines! 😀 #airports #museums #futurecities #capitalism
