Para mi #whentheyseeus es de las miniseries más infravaloradas de la historia. Basada en un hecho real y llevada a la pantalla de Netflix de manera extraordinaria. Me la sufrí toda aun sabiendo en que iba a terminar todo. El nivel de injusticia con esos menores de edad es pero de lo más terrible y cruel que se puede ver en streaming. En todo momento esperaba que la policía sea algo de justa con ellos, que los escuchen, que sigan investigando, pero no. Igual debo considerar que esta serie la vi pre-pandemia y cuando ya llegó el covid y nos encerramos lo primero que hice fue volverla a ver y mis emociones fueron aún más elocuentes. Siempre cuando una persona me pide que le recomiende una serie o película para ver el fin de semana yo voy a la segura y recomiendo esta joya perdida en Netflix. Hay que verla y siento que todas las personas de 13 años en adelante deberían darse el tiempo para verla. Quizás desde los 16 años o 18 mejor . La cosa es que se debe ver y en un futuro logragre que en los colegios se muestre esta miniserie. “Hey, Goldberg! I bet if that puck was a cheeseburger, you’d stop it!” 😂-Released 30 years ago today, ‘D2:The Mighty Ducks’ is my personal favorite in the trilogy, and like the first, it’s one that I can watch by itself without feeling the need to rewatch the entire franchise. It perfectly works as a stand alone watch due to the catching up in the beginning, and the plethora of new Ducks that are introduced. It’s such a fun and rewatchable film with great hockey scenes (including a street hockey one), a lot heart, funny gags and comedic moments. A childhood classic that I’ve watched probably 30-40 times as it was a VHS I owned and would repeatedly watch growing up. Emilio Estevez is once again excellent as Coach Bombay, being more in his groove since he’s familiar with the character, and his performance is what really holds the film together. I love when he starts letting the fame get to him, but glad he finds his way back by then end. Joshua Jackson continues to be a charming goofball as Charlie, but shows more maturity this time especially in a choice towards the end that shows why he is captain. . . This film brough Aaron Lohr as Portman into the fray and together they made up The Bash Brothers, which are one of the most iconic things of the trilogy. Lohr is excellent as the charismatic bad boy, and he gels perfectly with Henson. Kenan Thompson as Russ is my favorite new edition and would go on to be a top 5 character for me in the trilogy. His knuckle puck is deadly , and I love his excitement when he’s about to deliver it, and the way people react to it, is money. He’s just overall funny with some great punchlines and one liners. Shaun Weiss is once again fantastic comedic relief as Goldberg, the goalie. Many of the funniest moments of the film revolve around him and Thompson, which laid the groundwork for their reunion the next year in another childhood classic, ‘Heavyweights’. .
