I diritti che avevamo come lavorator3 e che ci sono stati tolti (o sempre negati per chi non è biancə e/o cishet) sono sempre stati vinti organizzandosi insieme e lottando dal basso. Perché siamo una classe, essendo tutt3 lavorator3 sotto padrone, che siamo ner3, bianch3, cishet o queer. C'è chi ha scaglie di privilegio per un identità più accettata delle altre, ma sono briciole create per dividerci e tutelare il profitto di pochi contro le necessità della collettività. Non abbiamo nulla da perdere a unirci e lottare insieme, come ci insegnano vittorie come quella di #MondoConvergenza, o esperienze come quella degli #operaigkn o quella della #resistenzapalestinese. William Palmer (1906-1987), Steel Workers, 1926, oil painting in private collection. Palmer was born in Des Moines Iowa and studied at the @aslnyc with Thomas Hart Benton, Boardman Robinson, and Kenneth Hayes Miller and and then later in France as well. He served as a long-time director of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Art Institute in Utica New York. Palmer excelled as a mural painter during the Federal Arts Project and this early work showed Palmer's ability to portray the type of organized action often celebrated in such murals. @megandevenny put on a fantastic exhibition of their art work over the weekend. Megan and Tom expertly installed the artwork which in-turn inspired many at our classes to create some new work incorporating tiny plastic babies. Today’s adult clay making workshop was a roaring success, with a great energy created between Megan and the participants.
