4 parks: dump🫶🏻 What a CRAZY day!! From getting off work at 1am to then wake up at 6am for rope drop. To spending 12hrs in only 2 parks waiting for our guardians queue, just for guardians to cut our music and stop us mid-ride. Then getting a lightning lane to ride it again. Running through magic kingdom to make it to the exit before the post firework rush so we could make it over to studios. Then running to fantasmic to catch the 9:30 show. Four Park Challenge complete! 🎉 At least one ride, one snack, and one picture with each of the icons, in less than 11 hours! 🏰🌳🌐🎥 We even almost got all modes of transportation in, too, but that will have to be a side challenge for another day... 😆 After my first visit to Disney in Oct. 2019, I had such an amazing experience that I almost upgraded my tickets immediately (sound familiar, Universal of 2020?! Ha!) But there were various reasons that kept us from doing so until passes went on sale again April 20th of this year. We knew we had a year to activate them, so we planned a trip in Sept. to get there for a little spooky season. But early July I was getting a little impatient and had been checking out flight prices in my free time 🤣 I saw a sale pop up for a random Saturday in August, which also happened to be after our first full week back to school with students... I thought for sure it was a lost cause and almost didn't throw the idea in Ricky's direction. But he surprisingly agreed pretty quickly, so I booked it! Fast forward about a month and I get this bright idea that I want to try to do all 4 parks in one day. We'd done it with a gifted VIP tour back in 2020, but they drop you at rides and help you skip the line. This was not gonna be the case for this trip. Again, I almost didn't float the idea to my dear husband... but framed it as "We'll try and if we fail then it's still a day at Disney!" He agreed! 😍 Though our feet hurt from over 30k steps, the magic of Disney is palpable and we had such an epic day date! We had done a similar thing with Universal a few years back and there were a bunch of snafus that made us worry about pulling this off with double the parks. But everything went so smoothly yesterday that we actually looked at each other a few times wondering if this was real life haha. We had so much fun doing the 4 park challenge today! We even used all 4 modes of free Disney transportation. We started out by busing to Animal Kingdom. We bused back to our resort to drop some things off at the room and then took the skyliner to Hollywood Studios. From there, we took the boat to Epcot. Finally, we rode the monorail over to Magic Kingdom. For the 4 park challenge to count, you have to ride at least one ride and have at least one snack or drink at each park. ✨Park Hopping is my Cardio✨ At least, it will be tomorrow! Follow along as my husband & I take the 4 Park Challenge - we plan to visit all 4 theme parks in Walt Disney World! Our tentative plan, which ultimately will vary based on Genie+ Lightning Lane availability (and this is why I don’t recommend following a strict itinerary when at the parks. Strategy, not itinerary!): 730am-130pm: Rope drop Animal Kingdom, our favorite park thus the park we want to spend the most amount of hours in. Ride Flight of Passage & Expedition Everest as many times as we can; watch the Lion King show; snack, snack, snack because Animal Kingdom has the BEST quick service food. 1:30pm: Free Walt Disney World bus to Epcot, arrive before 2pm so we are ready to enter when park hopping is allowed at 2pm 2:00pm-4:00pm: Epcot, including Guardians (hopefully twice if our virtual queue timing works), Test Track, drinks around the world, Mission Space (hah! Just joking. If you know, you know 🤢). 4:00pm-6:00pm: Hollywood Studios via Skyliner from Epcot. Tower of Terror, Smugglers Run, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway 6:00pm: Join Virtual Queue for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind 6:00pm-8:00pm: Magic Kingdom, most likely via Uber. Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, People Mover to cry as we pass Tron knowing that we are missing DVC previews by just 3 days 😭 8:00pm-11:00pm: Epcot via Monorail - arrive in time to see Harmonious 🎆. Extended Evenings Hours for Deluxe Resort Guests from 9pm-11pm, which means 1 more ride on Guardians, woot woot! 11:00pm: Walk 5 minutes back to Beach Club, the closest resort to a theme park other than the Grand Californian at Disneyland Resort!
